whether we win or lose this series, I still like Howard. He conducts himself usually very professionally unlike that other little twerp over in Cleveland. Howard has been critized today for going public about touches, but who really knows that he hasn't tried to bring it up behind closed doors without any result with SVG? Maybe he has and is being ignored, so in order to change things, he brought into the media...

Funny though, Orlando still has a shot to knock us out, and I STILL hate that little NY bound bastard more, even though we beat them last year. Howard doesn't have to put on a show before the game, show us his muscles after a dunk, and whine after every call made against him (even though twit head, one of the more agressive players in the league, only gets 1 or 2 fouls called against him in a game, if that!... how many times have I looked at the box score to see a big fat doughnut under the PF is amazing).

Cleveland is always 1 injury away from being a lottery team... knock that punk down (BOS or ORL) and the series is done. They are too cocky and living on the edge with their little theatical tatics... they are going to piss somebody off and its gonna bite them in the tush.

Let's go Celtics!

I used to believe the Howard Hype; not anymore
He is a terrific rebounder and help defender and that is it

Take away his dunks and shots w/in 2 ft and he wont avg 5 pts a game.
His FT shooting is about as bad as it gets

He is grossly overrated
I cant believe he made first team all NBA and is considered an MVP candidate with all the special all around talents this league has

Hey Superhype; STFU!!!

I like Howard and he's right, Van Gundy is running the team into the ground. You have to get your star touches, like we do with Pierce. I feel bad for Howard becuase he's stuck on a team that is mentally weak and jacks up threes all game.

SonicYouth, I agree.

I think the essence of a team is heavily influenced by the coach. And Van Gundy is a whiner and complainer. Winners aren't whiners and complainers.

Well, I like SVG, he's self-effacing, pretty humble, blames himself for losses..etc. I don't think that makes him a good coach, although he kicked Riley's butt.

Of course, Howard should get more touches, then we could steal the ball more often from him or get rebounds off those ridiculous shots that he misses in the paint and get easy hoops.

Howard will get better, he's still, as we say up in "northern" maine, wicked young.

Most people here think Rondo can still improve his jumper.

It's reasonable to think Howard can improve his post-up game. I expect to see it happen.

Heck, look at how Perk's improved, and he doesn't have the athleticism of Howard.

Perk's also doing a great job making Howard look bad on those running hook shots.

:o :o Seriously? He is the king of throwing his players under the bus and whining about the refs...he's done it all season. Shaq was right when he called him Master of Panic earlier in the season...

The Magic just need to sign Ron Artest -- look what he did for Yao.

And they should also re-sign McGrady...when he goes down with his usual season-ending injury midway through the season, they'll rip of a 20-4 streak!

Throwing his players under the bus? Most of the time he takes the responsibility for the losses if it's on him, but I don't really recall him singling out a player and blaming them for the loss. He has mentioned a couple times in press conferences that Dwight needed a little more intensity, but he doesn't throw him under a bus and say "Dwight Howard cost us this game" like Dwight did calling out SVG.

I'll give you the whining from the refs, but the Magic have historically gotten the wrong side of ref calls. A lot of the time he complains he is right, but that doesn't mean he has to complain about them all the time.

Regardless I'm glad he's the Magic coach and hope there is no rash decisions that get made based on this playoff series. He's the best coach the Magic have ever had. The players must at least respect him if their production increases their wins from 40 to 52 to 59.
