I've softened on Simmons and am tolerating him a little more lately; but I defninitely don't want to listen to that annoying lispy voice of his.

I hate listening to interviews or looking at video news stories on the internet, basically if I wanted to watch or hear something I'd watch TV or listen to the radio (yeah, I guess the on demand part makes it useful.) But if it's on the internet I basically just want to read it.

I made a big exception yesterday when I saw in SI that Dan Patrick had a 'podcast' interview with Larry Bird, I went straight to the website and listened to that one. Why does the term 'podcast' exist anyway, it doesn't mean anything besides a recorded audio broadcast right? I guess the idea is that is intended to be recorded/archived rather than aired live?

Will Carroll is a injury expert who has been checking up on the KG injury. BS asked him to do so. WC said the KG hurt is a rare thing and a tendon hurt is totally different then a knee thing and rest is what in needed. If that does not work an operation with a reattachment may be needed with 2 to 4 months rehab. Then here is the strange part.....there is a possibility he, meaning KG might if the swelling has gone down enough be able to play soon. Since the C's and KG have been mum they....the media just don't know the progress of KG's knee. The injury is just a rare one. That's what I got from it........

It is worth a listen. Basically it is the popliteus tendon behind his knee and rest and recovery is the usual treatment, but KG's is continuing to swell and "lock up" which sounds like basically giving when he tries to jump. So it may have separated from the bone even still it can reattach itself to the bone. Surgery sounds bad screws in the back of the knee and 5-6 months of recovery. So he can't jump that is why he can't play and surgery is not the answer at least not the good one.

VERY worth listening to. Mostly about injuries and trends in sports in general, not really about KG.

Favorite part was about health and smoking in the old NBA:
He quotes Cousy from his book: "The key to our success in '64 is that Tommy Heinsohn quit smoking 3 weeks before the playoffs"... the KEY to their success. hilarious.
