I've been voting for Jennings so I'll answer that....

I feel that 90% of the time you should select the best player available and raise the overall talent level of your team. You can work out holes in your roster later with trades and/or Free agents. If we somehow do get Jennings it won't be the end of the world to have 3 PGs on the roster. I don't think Jennings will be ready to play in year 1 anyway. Then, we can trade whichever of DJ/Felton/Jennings that we decide we don't want.

I think it's a wasted pick with Felton and DJ still on the books, and the Cats are seriously hoping that Felton resigns. Would drafting another PG make Felton feel threatened about his position enough where he would up the price to resign?? If I was Felton and in his position and the Cats drafted another PG I would be thinking that I don't really have a future with the club and start looking elsewhere and upping the price.

I would rather use the pick on someone else than a PG. I feel we are solid (not great, nor terrible) there and I don't think Jennings brings enough to the table to be drafted when we have greater needs. I'd rather get in a veteran that can play 3rd string PG than a rookie that is going to be costing us $1,957,080 in the first year and not contribute much to the team. At number 8 I'd rather be looking at Williams (I think 8 is a reach) Henderson or Clark that will be able to help pretty much straight up. Jennings has zero chance of sliding across to the SG, and I don't really want Felton playing there either. It's already a small back court without adding another 6'1" guard.

I'm with WDS. I don't see the sense in drafting another PG at the moment - unless it's a "home run" type, which I don't think Jennings is. We have two young, very able PG's on the roster. If we add a 3rd by the time we are ready to decide between the three (a couple of years) we have missed taking advatnage of the prime stages for guys like Boris and Crash.

To me drafting someone like Jennings would just be treading water rather than progressing and I think we are at the stage where we are ready to progress.

I'll probably be voting for Jennings before Curry...
Well I didn't know that so I am sorry.
Dex- No offense was taken. Besides, we have all stepped in a pile of sticky at one point or another. All I have to do is remember the one time I did it barefooted to realize that everyone isn't totally aware of the process. You just didn't know. No harm done, buddy. All's fine. :D

On another note-Jennings also represents an uncertain buyout with L. Roma. I think that pushes him down to second round level FOR ME (allowing that everyone can have their own opinion on this, of course).

And with that we close the eighth pick.... with Terrence Williams as the eighth man on the board.
