His standing reach is so much more important than his rounded up height in shoes.

Chris Webber trade. Mike Bibby trade. Hedo Turkoglu draft. Peja draft. Scot Pollard signing. Vlade signing. Jim Jackson signing.

Yeah but that was all questionable and uncertain luck. We need the obvious pick here! C'mon fate, give us a bone!!!! hahaha.

I'm not even hoping for the #1 pick. I'll be thrilled with #2. I feel like if I ask for less, it's more likely to happen....who I'm asking--I have no idea.

All kidding aside, if Griffin is a true 6' 9" with long arms and those skills he is the #1.

I remember watching a game when Peja was still on the team, where Jerry Reynolds made a remark that Peja was a legit 6'10" and although Webber was listed at 6'!0, he was not as tall as Peja and not a legit 6'10".

C-Webb was 6'10.5' from what I saw listed.
Peja was always 6'9.5" from what I remember.

I really think an inch or two here or there is arbitrary...it's standing reach and vertical jump that matter.

Peja is taller than Webber. That is fact. Heck, even Webber acknowledges that. Peja is legit 6'10'' or so.

With Webb Slouching, they look about the same height, maybe Peja nudging a 1/2 inch. So I'd say C-Webb is slightly taller, insignificantly though.

Actually it was a pretty well-known fact that Peja was not only taller, at game weight he was slightly heavier as well. I have a family member who used to be his neighbor.

You know what... Griffin can play the SF position... he is much quicker than advertised... a Griffin, Thompson, Hawes frontcourt would be deadly.

I like that idea =]

He definitely has underrated ball handling ability. As mentioned several times on this board, you do not have to trade Hawes or Thompson to compensate for the addition of Griffen. You can play all three at the same time as they all have perimeter ability as well. However, no way would I say that Griffen can be our full fledged 3 man.

He is a power forward in this league and is going to expose many other forwards in this league. I look forward to him being a king
