Just think what that one shot from Big Baby has meant in game 5.
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.

Ugh...that was awful. A ****-sandwich for Boston sports last night all around.

Well the Bruins are still the low-men on the totem pole in Boston, a distant 4th...but I didn't like to see that, especially who scored the game-winner...

Actually, all he said was that the Magic were missing their second best player. Made no reference to KG.

As for Orlando; They usually play their best with their backs up against the wall when they seem to be at a disadvantage, but we'll see. I just hope for a competitive game. A blowout is no fun, ha.

Perhaps you should have gone back to read his post in context...his was in reference to a post I made saying "...we are missing KG..."

Know what you're talking about before you post, please...

Me neither...this is a mentally weak team. If they do win, I will shocked, stunned, and will have to tip my cap to them. The fact they've needed to go to a game 7 against an injury-decimated team like Boston (with KG and Powe, we win this series in 5 games) as supposedly the 3rd best team in the East damns them...if they make it to the ECF they will get swept, plain and simple.

The Magic have shown that they aren't there mentally at the end of games, but the one thing that they have going for them is that they aren't scared of the Garden. They've outplayed the Celtics in the Garden 3 times this season(2 resulted in wins and then the Game 5 choke). They've had 20 point leads in 2 games so far this season in the Garden and a 15 point lead in the 4th in the 3rd game. So while they still struggle at the end of the games, I think they have a quiet confidence about playing in the Garden. Honestly I'm probably happier that Game 7 is on the road, they are a very confident road team.

I don't know why you just assume a sweep. You probably haven't seen any of the Magic/Cavs games this season. Magic are 2-1 against them and the loss in the Q, the Magic blew an 8 point lead in the last 3 minutes. Dwight is one of the only players that can keep Lebron out of the lane. I would still pick the Cavs, but it would go at least 6.

So Celtics fans are able to talk about KG and Powe being injured, but a Magic fan can't mention Jameer? Obviously Jameer doesn't equal KG, but Jameer is still a huge part of the Magic's success and he isn't playing. It's not like the Celtics depleted team is owning the Magic at full strength which is what he thought you were implying in your original post. If the Magic had Jameer they would have won this series in 5. If both teams were fully healthy I don't see why it wouldn't go 6 or 7 games and be a damn good series.

Regardless of the outcome, this will be a great learning experience of a Game 7 in the Garden for the young Magic. Best of luck to the C's in Game 7 and hopefully it will be a competitive game!

I agree that the Magic aren't scared of the Garden...they won game 1 there and almost won game 5 there, too. In all honesty, with these new cookie-cutter arenas, is anyone REALLY scared of an arena they were with Boston Garden, the LA Forum, Chicago Stadium? I mean people are afraid of getting jobbed by the refs and Stern when they go into Cleveland than the arena itself...

I didn't say Magic fans can't talk about Jameer. I was referring to how all we heard a few weeks back from some Magic fans was that losing Jameer was EQUIVALENT to us losing KG...which it's not.

I'm freakin' terrified. Let's just hope Van Gundy leaves Lee on the bench half the game again. That kid has been killing us.

Maybe Celtics should stop run plays on Pierce on the top of the key. He and Allen switching but the results were all same;fail.Pietrus is way better defender than Turk.I jus dont get it.
I was wondering why Celtics dont call any play for Pierce on the low post anymore sure DH12 is there and hedo is longer than him but yu cant give your one of the best play up so easily.

and one last thing ,Doc Rivers needs find a solution to doubling on pierce with Rondo's man.Rondo is useless out there.I dont know if House is the answer but Celtics should try something they didnt try before. Rondo is throwing the ball (somone calling as floater)from the foul lline, for sure it's not the solution.

this would be a big problem in game 7

I am not satisfied with making it this far. Champions don't settle for using injuries as excuses. Champions aren't satisfied making it to the second round. Even with Powe and Garnett out, we cannot laud Pierce and Allen for being superstars, and Rondo as a top 5 PG and Perkins as an underrated player and Big Baby as an up and comer if we can't finish off teams like this.

Look at the Rockets. They have suffered far worse injuries than the Celtics. They are playing a superior team than the Celtics and doing it all without homecourt advantage. Their center is a 6'6" guy for crying out loud. The Celtics need to play with the same kind of intensity and heart that the Rockets are playing with.

If they don't win this series, I can't help but consider it a disappointment even with the absence of Garnett and Powe. If we really consider Allen to be an All-Star, Pierce to be a 2nd Team All-NBA all star and Rondo as an emerging top 5 PG and top 5 playoff performer, then there's no reason to be satisfied with just making the 2nd round.

I'll be the first one to say Orlando is definitely underrated but Nelson is not even half as important to Orlando as Garnett and Powe are combined to Boston. I don't consider myself worried too much either.
