I'm watching the game, and the difference between Lebron and Kobe, in regards to how the like their supporting cast, is after Pau jus went on total domination in that last run, Kobe barely congratulates him, and Lebron would have been the first guy off the bench jumping around and hugging Mo, Z, or anyone else who did that for the Cavs.

I noticed that Tim Duncan doesn't really like winning championships.. after the games he always has a -_- face.

...uhh... it's called having different personalities. Lebron is an animated/funny guy... Kobe is more introverted.

Yeah scoring 14 points in a game 7 but yet the cast is overrated.

Charles Barkley said he's never played with anyone as good as Gasol, Bynum, and MAYBE Lamar Odom. Gasol is at least an All-Star, but he said Bynum and Odom too.

lol, they may be the most talented team, but they are definitely overrated in the media.

Barkley couldn't have seriously said that. He played with a 29 year old Moses.

Barkley's jealousy of Kobe really showed tonight. His Philly, PHX, and Houston supporting cast >>>>>> anything Kobe has had since Shaq left. The 93' Suns were way more talented than the 93' Bulls who beat them.

Really? What about Games 4 and 6?

Game 4: Odom/Ariza/Fisher/Bynum combined for 9 points.

Game 6: Odom/Fisher/Bynum/Sasha/Walton combined for 12 points.

Gasol's supporting cast is definitely overrated.

Hopefully, Kupchak can bring in some more talent next year, and the team might finally be a legit championship contender.

Good thing Gasol stepped up to carry his team to a Game 7 victory. His supporting cast is still overrated though.

You guys are so ridiculous. Do you just have selective memory?

Gasol has had games of (in this postseason):
13pts (4-8), 17pts (6-13), 14pts (6-14), 13pts (4-11), 16pts (5-9), and 14pts (7-15)

And Gasol was going up agaisnt Scola, Kobe was going up agaisnt Battier and Artest.

Just the fact that they were in a game 7 against the rockets minus there two stars should tell you something about the supporting cast. Or the fact that Kobe's supporting cast was routinely beat up by Scola, Landry, Hayes, and Aaron Brooks...
"I'm sure they'll jump off the bandwagon. Then when we do get back on top, they're going to want to jump back on, and we're going to tell them there's no more room." - Kobe in March of 2005

I love how all the blame is put on the supporting cast, but no blame is ever put on Kobe. Kobe didn't show up for game 7, his supporting cast did. And now all the sudden it's "OH WELL DID YOU SEE THE GAMES BEFORE??"

Funny every none Laker fan is in here bashing the Lakers and their bench meanwhile your teams are headed to the lottery and long summer vacation. I'm cool with our overrated Kobe and our bench.
Enjoy the time off, and keep up the great threads.

Blame? Blame for what? Being in the WCF?

No one is blaming the supporting cast. Some of us are just pointing out they're a little overrated by some people around here. Kobe has struggled in a few games this post-season too, so Im not sure why your implying that he is getting off easy, cause he's had his problems.

But for a supporting cast thats supposed to be by far better than anyone elses... Getting 9 pts from Odom/Ariza/Fisher/Bynum combined in 1 game, and getting 12pts from Odom/Fisher/Bynum/Sasha/Walton in another game is pretty bad, especially coming in the same series.

gasol and bynum finally figured out how to take advantage of a 6'6" bench player. yup, they're superstars all right.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.
