Boston fans, where are you going from here?

Post#1 » by campybatman » Mon May 18, 2009 3:03 am

My focus is now on the impending off-season. Who's resigned, not resigned, traded and signed for Boston. I don't have that much interest in the draft this year since Boston doesn't own a first round pick. Maybe Ainge will do a deal to get Boston a first round pick, but I'm uncertain of that and which players Ainge would want to target.

I'll watch the Patriots crush the competition, and add another SB ring to the collection.

Offseason and a passing interest in the playoffs. I love basketball, but I'm getting a little sick of the Lebron/Kobe hype that's been going down on the way to their inevitable matchup.

Shouldn't Boston "fans" have a "to another team" option?

I voted for option 4, but I'll still probably watch the rest of the playoffs and finals anyway...I just love basketball.

I will obviously turn most of my attention to the red sox. But will still watch some Finals games.

Not really excited about the draft, the free agency period should be good.

The only team left that I'm willing to root for is the Nuggets. So I guess I'll focus on the WCF, and the Finals if they make it. Don't really care about the draft this year. I hope we resign Big Baby and House

Right now I really have no desire to watch any more NBA games this year.
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

Deep down Im disappointed the Celtics lost..but if they were to win or lose it would not affect my life in any way. I might be in the minority here but watching my team lets me leave reality for only a little bit, but after the games are over its not gonna get you laid if they win.

I'll watch what I can of the next rounds. I'll pull for Cleveland if they play the Lakers(I don't want to see Jackson break Auerbach's record) but I wouldn't watch that series. Otherwise I plan on watching the Championship. Looking forward to the draft lottery and to the draft. I hope Scalabrine and Tony Allen are traded for a player of need and a draft pick Ainge is looking for. I don't have much else to add.

Oh, there should be a draft option. I'll probably get swept away with that like I do every year. At least the lottery's in two days.

It's hard for me to be a NBA fan as oppose to a Celtics fan. I've nothing but indifference for the rest of the league, and find it very challenging to follow a different NBA team with no invested interest in that team. It's like with the NFL, I've a short attention span when it comes to watching a team that isn't the Patriots. I mean I like to root for someone and I simply don't get that satisfaction from watching another team unless for an individual player. But, even then, you're made to follow that individual player's team. And I just don't care. Personally, I'm not one to root for another team to lose. Because that would place me into the misery loves company mentality which I don't care all that much to think like that.

I'm going straight into "I hope KG's career isn't over just when that fat extension is about to kick in" mode.

And it's all guaranteed. Hopefully, Garnett recovers...

Honestly, I feel unperturbed by Sunday's defeat. Because Boston won a championship last season, you took what you got this season. Sure, it would've been nice to get an opportunity to defend the title. But, I don't think it was meant to be. I mean San Antonio won multiple championships lead by Duncan and none of them were won in consecutive seasons. So, I look forward to next season and a new opportunity.

I'll watch the playoffs and would like the Nuggets to win it all.

Return to Boston Celtics
