Re: Boston fans, where are you going from here?
I am done with getting up at the middle of the night for basketball. I will watch the DEN-LA series if it will be close and the finals if DEN can make it there...
I am looking forward to the draft, that is always fun.
But it is all about the offseason for us. Danny has to do a better job than last year...We need bench!!!

Re: Boston fans, where are you going from here?
I will have no more than a casual interest in the rest of the playoffs (although rooting like mad for LA Lakers to lose!!). I'm a Celtics fan *IN SPITE OF* the NBA...I hate most everything about the NBA...the star system, crooked reffing, whoring to TV/advertisers, etc...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I'd like to see Denver beat LA and Cleveland as well.
I am somewhat interested as to how badly the Magic will be embarrassed by the Cavs (so I can be happy that's not the Celtics) but I don't expect those games to be half as enjoyable as the WCF or the Finals.

It's going to be beautiful!

I don't hate the Magic but I don't see how they can possibly beat any of the remaining teams in the playoffs. They're the weakest team remaining.

If you want a laugh, go to ESPN.com....their poll question, "which team is least likely to win the NBA Finals", the Magic ran away with it...almost 50%. EVERY state in the US voted for the Magic...even FLORIDA voted for the Magic at a 40+% clip!

People using that dumbass "logic"--like that ass-clown Magic fan who came on the game thread saying "YOU BARELY BEAT THE CAVS AND WE TROUNCED YOU DO THE MATH!"

If the Magic extend it to 5, it will be a towering achievement...

I slept on it - still feel bad.
I will watch casually here and the.
I want Denver. I want to see Chauncey win and I want Melo to show that he has become a true stud and I want Kobe and the Fakers to lose badly.

I am looking forward to the offseason but will watch the rest of the playoffs as well.
There really is some good basketball to be had and I am really interested in seeing what a Cavs - Lakers series would bring.
Ultimately though I am interested in how Danny remakes this team.

Re: Boston fans, where are you going from here?
Basketball (and hockey) seasons are too long, I'll watch (and chat about) what the Celtics do in the offseason, but it's outside for me as much as possible through the fall. I'll tune in occasionally and stay watching if the Cavs or Lakers are getting beat.

2 and 3. Rooting for the Nuggets and a couple solid players to add to our rotation.

I have a passing interest in basketball during the offseason...I'll watch the playoffs when there is nothing else to do....
Probably check out the draft...and any free agent rumblings...
I'll spend most of my free time traveling around on weekends...going to local short track racing...(ACT and PASS and the Maritime Prostock events... (no NA$CAR)
(Thats the real racing as far as I'm concerned)

Re: Boston fans, where are you going from here?
Not that it'll matter for Cleveland either way given their dominance this season at home having home court throughout the playoffs and NBA Finals. But, there was an article suggesting that LeBron desired to face Boston in the eastern conference finals. I wonder if he saw Boston as an easier opponent seeing how depleted they were as oppose to a healthier Orlando.

If Boston can take anything positive from being eliminated in the semifinals of this season's playoffs, it's this... Boston didn't give LeBron and company the satisfaction of beating up on a depleted and tired team. In your heart, I believe most Boston fans knew that Boston, barring an unforeseen miracle of a Garnett return and a lot of good breaks, weren't getting pass the Cavaliers. So, whether or not it really matters in the minds of Cleveland and their fans. This should matter to Boston fans. I'll like to think that Boston fans can hold their heads high and know that they didn't get the chance to show us up. You didn't beat us, you simply won't have to play us. Pierce sums it... Whether Boston could be the "best team" again next season isn't the point. The point is: Boston was neck-and-neck with Cleveland in the standings for the best conference record, even having more wins at one time, before the lost of Garnett.

But the more he talked, the more it became obvious that if James and the rest of the Cavs had their choice, they would choose a rematch with the defending champion Celtics and not the Orlando Magic.
He said he'd seen every one of the Magic's playoff games and talked about how difficult they are to defend with Dwight Howard and his strong shooters. But there was an edge when James discussed the Celtics.
"We know everything about Boston, we have a history with them," James said. "They're an experienced club, you take away one All-Star, one Hall of Famer in KG [Kevin Garnett] and they've still got two more. It is going to be a tough conference final no matter which team we play because it is going to be one more step to the goal. We can't wait."
Last year's seven-game series with the Celtics was nothing if not a rivalry starter. James has said the Game 7 defeat in Boston, when he scored 45 points and Celtics' star Paul Pierce scored 41, was one of the hardest of his career.
Has he wanted another postseason shot at Pierce and Boston since?
"I'm a competitor, I thrive on going against the best," James said. "I love playing against the best you make your answer out of that."
Things only got more intense this season. The Cavs stayed in the locker room when the Celtics got their rings on opening night, and then the teams staged four intense games, with the home team winning all four.

"I honestly believe we are the best team in the NBA when we are healthy," said captain Paul Pierce, who finished with just 13 points. "And next year, if we are healthy again, we'll be the best team in the NBA again. But we weren't healthy."

I will watch the rest of the playoffs. Unless Orlando goes to the Finals with LA...I wouldn't watch that..that would suck IMO. I will root for a Cavs x Nuggets finals. And when does the NFL season start? I'm ready to see the Pats take some numbers, making up for last years injury season..much like the C's will do next year..

Yeah, right now, the return of Brady and the forthcoming Patriots season has to be the biggest story with both the hockey and basketball seasons being over.
