Tough to just accept losing Game 7 in the Garden I started to see it in Game 6 this was about them and not us, once you realize you are counting on House, Scal, and Marb to help win a playoff series you have to ask yourself what the hell are the chances?

I love the heart they played with but this team needs to get lucky in FA to get back to championship form and I hate admitting it.

May they get shredded in 5 by Cleveland!

Alright man, I mean, yes, the Magic shot freakishly well from beyond the arc, but the Celtics also rolled over and died in the face of Orlando's defense. You have to give the Magic's D some credit.

Yes the C's came out weak, apart from Ray. But I have to get my jabs in while I can!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I too am proud of this team.

The bottom-line is that without KG and Powe we simply did not have the depth on our bench to win it all. Doc was also forced to play Ray and Paul major minutes down the stretch because he had no one he trusted on the bench.

Hopefully Danny will address the weaknesses we have.

We just can't keep playing the older guys major minutes.

I'm proud of this team too. The Celtics, to a certain extent, are somewhat of a flaw ridden team. They lacked wing depth all season and were over-reliant on too many unreliable role players: Marbury, House, Davis, Moore, and Scals. The Celtics really had no business being in this series against the Magic. From game one the Magic controlled their fate. They had better top of the roster talent, better defense, shooting, and depth along with some really favorable matchups (Davis vs. Shard, House vs. Lee).

Like Sully, I believe this team has a ways to go to getting back to contending form. A lot clearly depends on the health of Garnett and also Powe. If either of these guys is unable to stay healthy next season and beyond the title run will remain at one. Powe's interior scoring and rebounding were sorely missed and would seemingly be difficult to replace via draft, trade or free agency given the assets the Celtics currently possess. Even Rasheed Wallace would fail to replace much of what Powe is able to bring to the team.

I truly believe that the Celtics need to improve their ability to shoot the basketball. This starts with Rondo but it's also essential that the Celtics bring in some players who can shoot at backup PG and on the wings. A Rasheed Wallace or McDyess signing would be my key to the offseason. I'm not sure where Davis fits in at this point but the Celtics can't go overpay for Davis because he's simply not a huge difference maker in the long term. This is going to be a critical offseason for Ainge and frankly if he flounders I can't really envision the Celtics competing for the Ship next year, barring a huge shooting improvement from Rondo.

this team really gave it their all, PP and Ray played heavy, heavy minutes and when you have Scal as your first big man off the bench and you get this far into the playoffs you know the team has heart.

hopefully the celts can sign Rasheed and a good SF for the offseason, with KG healthy and an improved bench, Celtics should win this thing next year. Doc also has to find a way to limit these guys minutes in the regular season, even if it means not being number 1 seed.

I have been a supporter since KG went down and when we lost to orlando in the regular season.

These guys are trying hard and I am as proud as it gets.

I am proud of our team! With the quality and lack of depth we had there wasn`t much more we could do. We definitely have heart but next season we need to have a little more than that...

and no height man.
one guy at 6'10" and 6'8" is the next one down (sorry, Moore doesn't count).
DA has to get a 7 footer in here a backup wing with experience.

They tried their best with what they had to work with...

This was a good season overall...

It was fun watching Big Baby Davis emerge...and Rondo just gets bettter each year...

And Perk has developed into a defensive stopper underneath...

Good years for both Paul Pierce and Ray Allen... you cant fault either of them for their playoff efforts...they gave everything that their tired legs would allow!

It's too bad that KG didn't at least try to play...I think even at 70% he would have been able to lead them...his on the court absence during the playoffs was the difference...as far as I'm concerned...(wether that was his decision or the organizations)....

But it is what it is...and that's that...

Overall... we still had a good year!

and I look forward to next season!

I'm especially proud of Perkinsm Rondo, and BBD. These guys outplayed Pierce and Ray during some of the games. They played without a lot of pride and heart. We can't win every year.

With no KG, no Powe, no bench, is was amazing we went this deep in the playoffs. I give props to this team, Doc, Tom T. Clifford Ray and the entire coaching staff.

I may have given you a hard time in the past Return2glory but I'm with you 100% on this one. The championship is always the real prize but not getting it isn't a disgrace when you give it all you have, and this undermanned squad gave it their all. A few different bounces of the ball and we'd be facing the Cavs, a few different bounces of the ball and the Bulls would have faced the Magic, this post season was that tight and that much of a battle for every inch.

Couldn`t agree more! I want two seven footers and a 6`8 SF next season...We have midgets on the bench now...

Definitely agree, even we played poorly we still played hard, gotta love that. It helps that in the back of ones mine you knew we were going to win against Cleveland, but still, considering the way teams like New Orleans and Detroit showed no professionalim whatsoever you appreciate that our guys still played hard.

Losing to CHI would of been a disgrace. Losing to ORL is acceptable.

I think I only would of been proud if we went on to lose to CLE.

Maybe if we played better overall, but ORL/BOS played like trash outside of game 7. And in that game ORL played well.
