The problem is not the bench(Though it's weak).

Going forward, you have 3 players in your 30's, Pierce being the youngest. With only Allen expiring, KG/Pierce will take a huge load of your salary meaning you won't be able to play in 2010.

You need to trade Ray Allen in the off-season for some younger pieces to continue to contend for a longer period of time.

Been there done that, younger players doesn't work. The time for the Celtics is now and in the next few years. Trading Allen makes no sense. The Pierce, KG & Ray window has about 2-3 years left and then the Celtics rebuild with Rondo, Perkins & Big Baby(hopefully). The Celtics will go out and get stars to replace the Big 3.

Danny has to take a deep, hard look at extending Rondo. We know his agent is looking for the max. He showed up to the game last night at 6:50 or so. His consistency is an issue for me. He looked good against no defense Chicago, but Orlando kept leaving him wide open. His talent and potential are there. It's a question of his brain and heart, and obviously what we could even get back for him.

I'm not even sure you can go crazy about our poor returns on offseason moves/acquisitions. Off the top of my head only Pietrus even panned out out of any teams acquisitions and he was pretty expensive and isn't really that good. Posey was a nonfactor this year. None of the guys in the draft behind our pick are obvious great players (A lot of people are bringing up Lees name despite him being picked 6 spots ahead of us???). It was a weak FA market.

Only when about 2 of the players(Jefferson/Rondo) turned out to be any good, okay 3 in Delonte West. So-so an average package.

For which you got Kevin Garnett. Mchale's an idiot, C fans should give him a ring in his honor.

I wanted Posey back. Badly. On the other hand I understood the decision and it would have meant to let House go.

Additionally everybody agreed that the Celtics needed more athleticism from the bench and we got rookies and Tony Allen in a bigger role. But that didn't cut it unfortunately.

For 2009/2010 we need a bench that allows PGA to play only 33 minutes a game. We need high quality from roster spot 6 to 10!

I want our main bench re-signed and a quality Forward and a quality Center added.

And most importantly I want Wyc & Co to spend 85 million $!

I'm sorry, but this is just not an acceptable opinion. He gets an all star, 23 year old big man. What other deal was out there? How many big men have post moves anymore?

Also, to get Rondo and Jefferson outside of the lottery is 2 Grand Slams.

Yeah it was the bench (and injuries) that doomed us this season...
