you can say they are under-rated. But their last 30 games of the season and the playoffs should put them in the first team or second team at the least.

I am not going to say that I am disappointed that they aren't on a higher team, but it's nice to see two Nuggets listed in the top 15 and on the same team at the same time.

This is the second time now where Melo has made an All-NBA team in the same year in which he didn't make the All-Star team. That means either one of two things....he is extremely clutch down the stretch of seasons, and picks up his player substantially....or the coaches just have no respect for him. Or both.

It's so tough to crack the first or second team, especially at the PF and PG slot. Based on the play of the Nuggets as a whole, I'm not sure how Billups doesn't take Chris Paul's spot on the second team. If this were a fantasy keeper draft, I'd definitely take CP3 over Billups, but that's not how this accolade is structured. I'm OK with 'Melo on the 3rd team, he'll have to do quite a bit to unseat Duncan-- Dirk just had an outstanding year, but I think Carmelo could eventually surpass him, especially if he develops a playoff rep (as he's doing right now).

I think Melo gets snubbed by the media and most fans in general. In a league where its all about finishing games and being clutch down the stretch (of games and seasons) they for some reason (in general) don't like this guy very much.

After the things he's done for team USA and this year in the playoffs it just makes it that much harder to hate on him. But regardless some will find a way. The guys on TNT finally gave Melo some props the other night. It has been long overdue. He was a dominate freshman who won an NCAA title. He is the perfect 4 man in international play and he's taken his team to the playoffs every year in the western conference... and now he's in the western conference finals. Regardless of the outcome his props are long overdue.

If he happens to beat Kobe I will be very happy for a very long time. Secretly I hope it comes down to game 7 of the Finals... Cavs vs. Nuggs. The Nuggets down by one with 15 seconds on the clock. Billups feeds Melo on the wing for a quick two. Then Mo pushes the ball and finds Lebron on the wing. Lebron drives and has a lane to the basketball... but as we all know lebron is unselfish...cough afraid of late game situations when it matters... so he passes off to West who clanks a last second J with Nene coming down with the rebound to win the finals. Haha, well I'm hoping. That sure would shut a lot of people up for a long long time. :D
I like my prospects the same way I like my women... foreign- pickIBL
