Also neither Bynum (who didnt have the chance) or Jordan were as horrible as Mullins was this year. the Kid took a HUGE step back and needs at least another 2-3 years in college. Too bad he got bad advice and is coming out now.

All that said though I am glad because some stupid team will see his athletic numbers and fall in love with him and take him higher then #18. And then he will be the next Petro and within 2-3 years he will be out of the leauge.

It's a reach to say that Mullens was worse than Jordan in college. Mullens actually scored more on a higher percentage. The guy is big, athletic, and has some decent skills. He's not going to be out of the league in 3 years, he's almost guaranteed to be, at minimum, a long term backup.

I don't think Mullens is going to step in and be a franchise center from day 1, but come on, we're talking about a legit 7-footer who is very athletic and shown some skill, who we'd be picking in the 20's of one of the weakest drafts in the last couple of years. I can't see how that's not worth a roll of the dice.

Barring Hoiberg (or whoever) winning their fiddling contest with lucifer and the wolves getting a top 2 pick, I'd like Harden/DeRozan and Holliday for our first 2 picks, and if Mullens was somehow available at 28, I'd be ecstatic.

I'd much rather grab Mullens with #18 after we get a PG/Wing with our pick, than select Thabeet with our pick and grab a PG/Wing with #18.

I think he needs work, but Mullens should be a good player long term.

its got nothing to do with luck, its all about ping pong ball selecting skills. RC Buford wrote a book about it, look it up.

Perimeter defense is the "Beware of Dog" sign. The guard dog would be players with the ability to protect the rim.

Trumped up bunco charges mean "made-up/fake" to me as well.

Having real dogs at the sidewalk would be better than having signs warning that there are dogs in the house. The further away from the house people stay the better.
People could just walk right past the sign. Much like they walk past Telfair.
Look at the Rockets. They play great defense and have guard dogs protecting the house from the sidewalk.

Guard dogs like itty bitty Aaron Brooks? They also have good help defenders in the post. Keeping everybody out of the paint is unrealistic. There should also be an option to deal with those that do. To stray from the silly protecting one's house analogy to a silly sitcom about a housing development company, "You're gonna get hop-ons."
