James Johnson

Post#1 » by S.I.C. GM » Tue May 19, 2009 4:29 pm

I didnt want to mess up the vibe in the other post.

If we dont get 1-3, I think I like this kid.

The fact he is an F'en blackbelt and his whole family is into martial art is F'en interesting. If this kid can come in an kick some life into our forwards, I would like that. Imagine Him putting SWAT in his place. Then turning to boone and Smacking him in his head saying "Wake the F up"

Then the real Death match.

James Johnson vs. Yi for the starting PF position.

i think johnson would eat him alive. Wish johnson was 6'10" but he seem slike a good fit if we stay at 11 and keep the pick.

Boone would invoke the powers of the wolf bloodline and rip James Johnson to shreds.

I agree 100% with James Johnson but im hoping that we use him as SF instead of PF. He can put the ball on the floor I would love to have him as a prospect to see how he will develop.

Please he would never play SF with FRANK. Frank's SMALL BALL would have him always playing the PF. Might as well play him there.

I take it you're too young to remember him?
A good thing for sure. Ellis was a beast till he suffered a couple major injuries, including destroying his knee if I remember correctly. Derailed his career.

I wish there were more highlights of him on youtube, but everytime I have searched there is only one of a monster block he had.

I only remember him post-injury, and that is why I was asking. I don't remember seeing him play way back when, but I did hear he was a beast.

I think James Johnson would be a great fit for us. I still really like Earl Clark though but I actually think he'll be gone by the time we pick.

No thanks to Clark.

He wont work under Frank especially if he has motivation issues ala Boone, Williams, and the list goes on.

James Johnson comes from a diciplined background and seems to have some talent to play 3 or 4. Atleast he will get PT under Frank and his Small Ball BS.

His midrange game is really nice, his low post game is really solid, he can hit the NBA three, rebounds quite well, gets out on the break whether leading or finishing. His defense is OK, but he gets lazy and makes stupid mistakes, although he is a pretty good shotblocker and gets his steals.
He is a bit of a tweener or even a hybrid, but I like his game a lot.
