I Just Realized Something

Post#1 » by TheFranchise21 » Tue May 19, 2009 10:14 pm

Since it's utterly apparent that Glen Taylor wants to hire a salary cap expert/guru to handle financial matters of the team and leave the personnel decisions to Fred Hoiberg, who better to do this job than our very own shrink?

I mean, shrink knows financial stuff, would definitely not command a large salary that Kahn/Penn/Candidate X would and can focus solely on the salary cap. I've always questioned shrink's talent evaluating ability and with this position, shrink would not have to worry about personnel decisions as that would be left for Hoiberg.

Lastly, I am fairly sure this plan is "withdrawal proof", meaning shrink won't withdraw his name from consideration.

sad enough NBA owners are convinced that only a small amount of people can do their job. But I am convinced that there are some blog writers who could scout and Shrink would be a nice CBA guy.

No need to dance around it, you're talking about canis. I've never read any of his stuff so I don't have an opinion on him/her.

I actually think a very large amount of guys could do a better job than most of the GMs and scouts, but I think we underestimate how much pressure owners put to win now, and to jsut get SOMEONE signed, and things like that, and we blame the GMs.

Somehow a guy with the last name "Krapinsky" doesn't sound like the person I want making draft picks.
even if you do well, you'd still be picking like krap.

Well if RealGm'ers were given the position, they would at least have a good team of evaluaters or opinions from a number of the posters here. It would be funny having Shrink or whoever post here.

"Hey guys, have the chance to aquire this James guy from Cleveland. What do you all think of him? The cap numbers seem to work..."

or whatever scenario that may be prevalent for the day/week/month/year.

Why does Memphis have to be the RUbio team. I cant cheer for Memphis (Gay) or LAC. If OKC got Rubio I could cheer for them. Now I am stuck in basketball purgatory.

LOL! You guys have me pegged pretty good. I wanted to question the "he won't ask for much" but deep down, I think you know I'd be too excited about the chance to work on these deals that I'd give away the farm.

"Daily, maybe hourly trade rumors" -- guaranteed.

I just realized we should never ever want to win another coin flip.
