How about these 2 Detroit scenarios:

1.

Pistons Receive: Zach, Thornton, 2010 Wolves 1st
Clippers Receive: Prince, filler (Maxiell if Detroit wants to dump him)

2.

Pistons Receive: Zach Randolph, 2010 Wolves 1st (or Clips 1st)
Clippers Receive: Amir, Huge TE

Cosign. Detroit has zero interest in Randolph and I doubt any other teams have interest in him either unless its for an equally bad player on an equally bad contract.

zach's knock is his contract, off court problems, and he isn't athletic enough to guard nba 4-5s..

while i agree hes almost untradeable, his work ethic is second to none, he is an unbelievable rebounder, his midrange is money, he has legit moves at the 4, and he is not as selfish as people label him- he has just been in bad situations and forced to score..

dude has almost no athleticism, and he averages just about 20/10 every year and you fear he will set a player back? if you gave griffin zachs work ethic and skillset, hed be a top 5 player in the league.

Seriously- if you want to do a Zach Randolph trade you would have to be discussing taking back one of the worst contracts in the league or giving up lottery pick talent. If you don't want to do that then you should keep him, play small and trade Kaman or Camby.

If he has such a strong work ethic, then why does he look like a tub of lard? Why has he not improved his defense at all since entering the league? I figure if a professional athlete really had a strong work ethic (like you claim he does) these things would happen.

ZBO is pure garbage, I can't imagine any team trading for him, especially now with the bad financial situation of so many franchises. IMO he is stuck in Clipland unless they give up a lot to make him go away. They really screwed up when they got him.

These type of comments are just comical. It just shows that you don't actually watch Zach play at all or you would realize that he's an awesome basketball player. He's just as good as guys like Boozer and David West but I highly doubt you would label them as pure garbage.

If anyone shared your opinion, Zach wouldn't keep getting punted around the league as he has been. Look at the trades that have landed him...do you really think Boozer and West would ever get traded for those packages? Zach does have some talent; you don't put up numbers like that by accident. But NOBODY puts him on a level with Boozer or West. Sorry.

Absolutely not. We are in the drivers seat and like Zach so if no one gives us a decent offer then we'll keep him for 2yrs and let Griffin work on his defense while defending him in practice.

Great. As long as clippers fans arent posting Randolph trades I feel very safe in saying that you will not be pestered with deals trying to acquire him. You might get offers for Kaman and Camby but any Randolph trades are going to be created by Clippers fans (then almost certainly skoffed at). Then once people react negatively we will get more clippers fans saying that the Clippers are fine with keeping him, of course this flies in the face of all the clippers fans trying to trade him but that will be ignored.
