Snider Optioned To AAA LV

As per Jordan Bastian's twitter.

Expected. I wonder who'll get the call up though. Proud driver of the Joe Inglett bandwagon!

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Is it just going to be for the Atlanta series? Or until he gets stuff worked out? I heard they just wanted him to get some at bats and it would be useless having him for the ATL series, but I guess there's some stuff about options or whatnot.

He'll be back later in the season, but for now we need more production at that spot. Bautista can't play everyday either IMO...

Yup, that's exactly what it is. He wasn't playing in ATL anyways.

But even still, I've thought he's looked lost for a few weeks now. Even when he was getting hits, he'd have some at-bats where he looked like he had no idea what he was doing.

I think not playing every day effected him. Being used to play everyday throughout his career, then all of a sudden not. He'll get things worked out in AAA, I'd expect him to be back later this season.

I can see Inglett getting a call up, and although he's played the majority of his AAA games and last season at 2B, he's had some experience in the outfield and can't be any more shaky than Lind. I'd imagine Lind will get more starts out in LF --even after interleague play, with Bautista being his primary back-up. Here's how I see the line-up for tomorrow's game;

SS Scoots
2B Hill
RF Rios
CF Wells
LF Lind
3B Rolen
1B Overbay
C Barajas
P Halladay > Bautista > Inglett

But who knows for sure though. Inglett played his first game tonight after a stint on the DL, so who knows. Maybe it's Lane who gets a call?

Good. They were using Snider as a part-time player at age 21. That is ridiculous. Let him play everyday and learn to hit lefties in the minors. He was not going to learn by sitting 2-3 days a week in favor of Bautista.

I think he wasted up all his energy in spring training. ;)

So Snider, Ray and Cecil go down, with Janssen, Inglett and Romero coming up.

Where's Mustard_Tiger? He practically guaranteed that Richmond would go down instead of Cecil or Ray.
