SERIES RECAP

After blowing Game 2,the Lakers take to the road in Denver with the series tied at 1 game each. The Lakers missed a golden opportunity to bury the Nuggets in a 0-2 hole, in which teams have only won the series 7 % of the time after trailing by such deficit. Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony have been a man for man battle, but Melo has had help from Chauncey Billups while Kobe's side kick Pau Gasol has struggled. The Lakers were one of the best road teams during the season, but they'll have to dial up a gutty performance in Denver to at least come back with a split and not concede HCA.

HISTORY FACTS

Before Game 2, the Nuggets had only won 1 playoff game in Los Angeles that was May 14, 1985. The Lakers and Nuggets first met in the playoffs in 1979. A 1st round match up in which Denver held the HCA, it would be the last time they ever held such advantage. The Lakers are 13-3 all time verses the Nuggets in the playoffs winning all 4 series. The Lakers are 6-1 all time in Denver.

Deep knows his history like Kareem.

The Lakers got a great chance to take it all from the nuggets.

And if there's a way, we can do it...

And if we can do it, we'll do it.

But do we want to do it?

ALL THE TIME - ANYTIME!

Like I said last year when we opened a can of kickass against the Sperms, we gotta handle this box of McNuggets and eat it - that's right boys, be hungry.

1. Feed more Pau. Make him a go-to guy early.
2. Stay in front of them and help Bynum stay out of foul trouble.
3. Stay focused on the defensive glass. Don't allow them feel comfortable.
4. Pound them and try to take as much offensive boards as possible.
5. Give Kobe as many open looks as possible.

Oh, man ! It's gonna be the toughest trip of the season. Their crowd will get nasty, they thrive on momentum changing plays and get as hot as anyone. They're so damn good.

I hope that the desire to win this year will make Kobe, Pau and others hungrier than they've been since April 14th. Pau, the team's success depends on you. Kobe will do his job, but you have to step up a bit on the road and shut them down !

Also, the supporting casts will make the difference in this game, I suppose. I just hope it will be ours and not theirs.

Go Lakers ! Please, play with desire and heart.

Niiiiiiiiiiiice GT Deep. A split is a must, getting 2 silences all critics. This Laker team has to dig deep. We are not like any of our former championship teams. We lack intensity & killer instinct. IF we get this title we are going to struggle all the way there unless we go to Denver & sack up!

Championship teams take on the personality of the coach. Well any team for that matter. Our coach is inconsistent & plays favorites at best right now! We need another leader to step up on the floor. Kobe is doing his thing but where's Pau & Lamar? I'm better with LO because of his job on Melo. Pau only shows up every blue moon. Memo to Pau! This is not Memphis where you are expected to lose in the 1st round! You were brought here to step up the team & consequently the team would step up yours!

Part of the reason this is not happening is because of Phil's rotation. Even when Pau is playing well Phil is so busy dogging on Bynum, Powell, & Mbenga he has nothing left in the 4th quarter. If we are to win this series & the eventual championship, it starts NOW!!!!!!!!!

Excuse myself, I mean MCs. :P

hahahha.

Ignore the cockiness, but yeah, I've been giving myself unpredictable therapy the natural/unpredictable Verbal way! (if that makes any sense whatsoever)

Keeping myself entertained, keeping my criminal record spotless, you know, just being Verbal. :)

Which reminds me, they (they all know who they are) still haven't given me an apology for the past and ongoing violation of my privacy.

And I hope they don't try to weasel out a "sorry" like most do.

Other than that, EVERYTHINGS JUST PEACHY!

And just like C-Troy, you know I love them peaches.

Remember Melo was averaging 15pts before this series. So a key point to beating Denv is to limit Melo offensively. We haven't done a good job of doing that so far. Melo looked far to confident and relaxed in staples. Thats not a good sign. We need to send to defenders at him and frustrate him to win, while stopping the high pnr.

Kobe loves the thin air in the Mile High City. It motivates him to cheat on Vanessa and hit buzzer-beaters against the Nuggets. He really seems to thrive at higher elevations. Denver knows that KB will be firing on all cylinders - game 3 is crucial!

Either way, maybe y'all need to put a body on K-Mart every once in awhile. The dude may be gettin' old, but he's killin' it in the paint. Oh yes, and Linas Kleiza = LK = Laker Killer :D, so there really is no antidote for that.

And anybody who thinks the Nuggets are favored in any way whatsoever, can you please give me some of what you've been smoking. The entire national media has been riding the Laker's jock-strap since day one. It seemed like everyone was ready to write off the Nugs just because they lost game 1, but now the world truly knows how hungry we are.

Can't wait for tomorrow, Go Nuggets!
