Was this before or after you thought he was going to be a tweener??? :D

revprodeji wrote:At the pro level he would be a tweener. He has many of the same tools westbrook was able to convert into a PG, but a scout will have to have that desire with Jrue. I agree he is a talent with great attitude on and off the court. Very good composure for a player his age.

miltk wrote:Don't know about that. Jrue will be pg,,,,flat out. He has the size for it, the head for it. He just happens to be playing opposite Collison who should never play sg. Westbrook is so athletic he allows that element of his make-up to overpower his game, making him erratic and out of control, like the rest of OKC. Jrue, otoh, is much more "savvy" and plays with his head, but Ben Howland will tell you Jrue is the best bball athlete he's ever recruited.

Aquintus was the first on the Jrue bandwagon. He was getting a lot of love at the beginning of the year.

I don't completely remember, but I'm pretty sure that I actually got on the Jrue bandwagon because of Rev.

I was, however, the first on the DeRozan bandwagon.

Edit:

I just looked at the draft thread, and apparently I was on the Jrue bandwagon way earlier than I remember. :dontknow:

So you liked him, then you didn't like, and then you liked him again?

I vote to trade all of our first rounders for the number 1

How the hell did Jrue shoot up some people's draft board so quickly?

I could have sworn DX and a bunch of realgm posters had him with our Boston pick.

Edit -

Just checked DX. They have him going with our Miami pick. I'd LOVE that.

I wouldn't take him with a top 10er, though.

Harden/Derozen for the OPs question.

I have always liked him. I do not think he is top-5 value in this draft, but in the 10-15 range perfect. I think he is very skilled.

Pretty sure I was in that camp as well. When we did the draft board in February, I think, I was pushing for him at #4.

I'd absolutely love him at #18, but unfortunately I think we're getting Harden and Evans due to a Washington trade, so Mullins at #18 in that case. :-)

This would be exciting. I don't know if we'd have enough assets to add Marvin Williams after trading for the 5 pick, but if so...I might not do the Shatner "Khaaaaaan!" in response to our new VP any more.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

If we make the move for #5 by moving Miller, we wouldn't have the assets to get Marvin Williams, and I'd be fine with us passing on him.

Gomes/Brewer eat up the minutes at SF.
Then we have a 3 guard rotation at the 1 and 2 with Evans, Harden, and Foye, with Telfair getting spot minutes if he's still on the team.

My double triangle of death + 2 is my ideal team.

Frontcourt - Jefferson, Love, and Mullens
SF - Gomes/Brewer
Backcourt - Evans, Harden, and Foye

Everyone else is expendable for future assets.
