THE LITHUANIAN MAMBA

Post#1 » by berserker » Fri May 22, 2009 6:32 pm

LOL

With the penetration from "The Big Bully" and "Mr Big Shot", Kleiza is going to get a lot of open looks. The lakers have trouble defending smaller faster teams - and this year, we're knocking down open jumpers. I wouldn't be suprised if Kleiza becomes the X factor for his ability to spread the lakers defense....

When we only have one big on the floor, we're able to score at will. With two bigs, we defend at will. No way the Lakers win this series. Should already be 2-0. We will be 3-1 after leaving Denver....

LK was definitely key for us last night, and like you said, he could be the x-factor in this series (because we all know that JR hasn't been :( ). I thank Kleiza for hitting those jumpers, but even more so, I applaud him for fighting on the glass. I specifically remember two offensive boards he gobbled up that led to crucial second-chance points, along with several other rebounds. His physicality and ability to spread the floor were monumental, and hopefully Karl gives him more PT, because he definitely deserved it.

But I don't think we should get ahead of ourselves too fast. Even though game 3 is in Denver, and we've been on fire in the Pepsi Center recently, I think HCA is overrated against the Lakers. They will be pumped up and ready for action, and we all know how much Kobe loves Colorado

As long as we adhere to Karl's motto of being "humble and hungry," I think we have a good chance of wrapping this series up.

Go Nuggets!

Kleiza has always had big games against the Lakers for some reason, especially on National TV. But does that mean we can count on him for similar performances for the rest of the series? Absolutely not.

What we really need is for Jr to get it going, and I think he will at home.

Depending on how Jr is feeling I agree.

Although I would not mind Kleiza getting some time at PF this series, the Rockets were really undersized and exposed a big weakness in the Lakers because of it. Not to mention the fact that they are packing the lane against, just like last year, another shooter on the court will be a huge help for Melo and Nene.

That's the main reason I would love having Troy Murphy on the team. Teams have to guard him on the perimeter. He's also a great rebounder somehow. I also trust him more than LK right now. It was a great game, and hopefully he can continue shooting like that and Karl goes with the smaller line up.

Be a wonderful offseason if the team could somehow get a PF whose deadly from three, then add a SG who can play some D and shoot the three as well instead of DJ. Would make the Nuggets a much harder team to defend against.

Isnt the format 2-3-2?

So, when we leave Denver it should be 3-2 or 4-1

“I’m so happy for L.K.,” said Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups. “He was great, man. He was definitely huge for us … after not playing very much at all in the last game or the last series (against Dallas in the West final).”

“He spaced the court,” said Nuggets coach George Karl. “He gave us two wild cards. He gave us a scoring wild card and a rebounding wild card.”

He needs to keep this up

I seriously LOL'd at this.

On Topic, it's great Kleiza played well yesterday. If he can just hit his wide open 3's consistently, it'll help the team a whole lot with the pressure being on Billups, Melo and Nene. Hopefully JR can also find his rhythm and the both of them can stroke it off the bench, :D
