what are your guys thoughts on Lopez? His brother had a great year (surprised me), what do you think Robin's future looks like?

He's too slow and uncoordinated to be productive right now, but I think he can be a solid part of the rotation in a few years. Brook is light years ahead of him in every way except hair.

Let's just say Robin has a better chance of becomming the next Kelly Slater than making an all-star game...

Good size, good frame and wingspan....decent shotblocker

Terrible hands, weak for a C, foul prone, doesn't get rebounds like he should for a guy his size

At best...Przybilla...at worst...out of the NBA after his rookie deal runs out...

If I were Phoenix I'd deal him now...SEAN WILLIAMS!! reunite him with his bro, and get a guy Amare works out with who'd excel in our system and still has upside

i think that after shaq had a go at him during that portland game that he came out and played fiercer, stronger and far more physically....

id like to see that continue next year and if it does, he could be a good role player for us

@tastic - i think lopez is too much to give up for williams, the nets dont want him, lets just throw a conditional second rounder to them and be done with it.... i like williams for sure and think he would be good next to or backing up amare

1-2 2nd-rounders plus Tucker for Williams?

He didn't show too much this year. I didn't like the pick then, I sure as hell don't like the pick now.

His best game was the outdoor preseason game against the Nuggets. I thought he looked great that game.

--- Yes! We should have swung a deal for SWilliams last year, but he can still be got for next to nothing. Give him a season with Ghill, Nash and out other vets and he'll turn around. I think the kid's just had some bad luck and done some bonehead, young-guy stuff that tarred him. he certainly can be a defensive force if guided. I really wanted us to pick up marcus Williams from the nets as well

--- I'd rather we grabbed Williams than re-sign Stro. I just figure Stro is who he is and ain't gonna change at this late date. Which is too bad cause i really like the guy. One of the great underachievers

Anyway we can go back in time and sell this pick before we picked Lopez?

I would have actually not cared if we sold that pick

Or you know...draft Chalmers as Nash's backup and replacement, then use what we spent on Dragic to move up and nab Jordan or Mbah a Moute...two defensive, NBA ready guys...would have given us great depth AND the team would still be together...

Shaq/Lou
Amare/Diaw
Hill/Barnes/Mbah a Moute
Bell/Barbosa
Nash/Chalmers

That team is SOLID...

I think anyone of us knew Robin wasn't the best guy. Just look at the numbers he averaged in the PAC-10 playing against 6'9 centers, what was it like 7 points and 5 rebounds?

Also showing clips of him surfing before the draft while he was supposed to be working out didn't really help him either...

To me, he's a perfect LATE first/early 2nd rounder, and staying in College and playing a full season without Brook down low would have done him wonders...

Yeah he was drafted way to early. If he wasn't drafted by the Suns I wonder if he would have lasted until the second round.

He would have been a first rd pick because many were projecting him in the mid teens I remember. He had some nice games when brook was suspended and showed some promise. Many liked him because he was the guy who rebounded and played D better then Brook. He usually took the better big man on the opposing team instead of Brook. I think he has potential to be a solid bench center, not a starter. He should have stayed in school, but it will take him some time to show anything in this league for now.

Nah.... Lopez needs experience ON court..
Look at the games he played big chunks of minutes, he blocked 2~4 shots and grabbed 8~10 rebounds.

Yes, some games when he comes in for Stoudemire or O'neal, and plays 4-5 minutes, he doesnt produce stats (rebounds and blocks), but I think he just needs to rev his engine and get switched on... 5 minutes on court will not switch you on... its unacceptable for a pro.. but thats just the way he is..
Because you have to admit he produced decent rebounding and block stats when he played 20+ minutes.... garbage time they may be.. but he looked more involved.. as opposed to a headless chicken just hustling when given 5 minutes.
