Clippers Summer League Roster Shaping Up...

Post#1 » by ClipperDomination » Sat May 23, 2009 8:21 am

Will he play in Summer League?
"Absolutely. We'll have Mike Taylor, Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, and we're hoping to bring Sofoklis Schortsanitis over who we still have the rights to. We have some good free agents as well. The presence of Blake and the ability for Eric and Blake to get to know each other and play together, two guys that will play significant minutes, can't be underestimated."

Quote is from Olshey. Looks like an exciting bunch to me.

It's kind of funny with Sofo. Just when I pretty much wrote off the possibility of him coming over, he and the team are both finally showing interest in each other. I don't know what his current weight is or anything, and the front court is stacked as it is, but It would be cool to see him in action this summer. 2006 would have been perfect though.

This is looking like a very exciting SL roster. I'm assuming that Al's shoulder is still recovering since he wasn't mentioned. The rest of the guys all have things that they are working on or at least should be working on. It should be good to see how everyone is coming along. DJ has the furthest to come, and now has even more competition for minutes. I hope that he uses that as motivation to improve his game to a point where he becomes a strong contributor, holds his own on the defensive end, develops his offensive moves so that the team has no reason to not play him. I'm know I'm getting ahead of myself right now, but if noobe is traded, I would like to see DJ get a little stretch in the D-League (provided everyone is healthy) while he is still eligible.

I hope Al is able and wants to participate in the Summer League this summer
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
