NY has little chance in trading for rubio, maybe if lee was a expiring and willing to sign a contract extension but that isnt the case

Grizzlies best bet imo is to go ahead and draft ricky, and trade him to Sacremento for thompson, and the 4th, It might be me but ppl get the idea that Gasol is not a legit center and thus he needs Thabeet down low next to him, Gasol is a good defensive player and not too bad on the offensive end either so I dont get the thabeet love...... imo the grizzlies are better off getting a PF with athleticism, to make up for gasol's lack of explosiveness...Blake Griffin would've obviously been sweet, but putting Jason Thompson next to Marc would be great, good athelticsm, can rebound well, gets the occasional block plus you have the 4th pick, Memphis basically have their starting line-up for the future, plus another young prospect

All I can say is if your GM thinks Rubio is the best pick (and he probably is) then he should take him. We all saw what happened with Yi. The agents and players may come out and do this posturing but in the end they want to be in the NBA. I really think Fran was/is an anomally, most players around the world are dying to come here. And if he really doesn't want to come, that's not the Girzz's problem. Let him sit in Spain for a few more heres. He'll come eventually.

Thank you. If we take him at two, then we have his rights for perpetuity: so if he wants to play basketball in the NBA at any point in his career, the road runs through Memphis.

That's too much for the Kings. You're talking about trading a young PF who's more than capable of starting and providing at least 12 and 8 with good passing, AND their no.4 pick to essentially move up two spots. I'm sure they like Rubio, but they'd have to think he's a surefire superstar to do that.
