Here are the two best offers I could put together for Shaq.

Option 1: Wallace, one of Diop/Mohammed, DJ

Option 2: Diaw, one of Diop/Mohammed, DJ

In option 1, Phoenix moves Amare to C and tries to run and gun everyone off of the floor with an additional core of Nash/Barbosa/Richardson/Hill/Wallace/Barnes. Maybe one of Diop or Mohammed benefit from the different system.

Option 2 brings Diaw back to Phoenix. The benefit is that he's more physically dependable than Wallace and brings a more refined game with him.

I guess that Mek could be worked in for Wallace/Diaw, but I think he would really benefit from playing beside Shaq. I could live with Shaq/Diaw/Wallace/Bell/Felton though.

Maybe you guys could be nice and add back our 2nd round pick or JDuds?

If that's the case, I really hope the Bobcats don't trade for Shaq lol.

Yea, I wasn't trying to be a smartypants or anything, just something I noticed while trying to figure out some trade possibilities and was genuinely interested in. Also, don't be stunned when we trade for Posey or Jared Jeffries this offseason!

Would the Cats be interested in Randolph + Thornton or Thronton + Kaman?

Is there another "DJ" I don't know about because I don't see why you guys would trade Augustin in a Shaq trade haha. If Amare's in Phoenix, than we'd prefer Wallace. If we ship Amare out, than Boris will be our savior...

its amazing how many players that sign those full MLE deals end up being a waste of money. why are we targeting these guys? it makes no sense.

Because that's pretty much the only alternative to try and improve if you're at/above the salary cap.

I actually posted a rant about the MLE last week on BCP. Used smartly it can be a positive tool, but because of the need to always improve most teams usually blink and end up basically overpaying a role player.

FWIW it appears the MLE is one of the primary things owners want to eliminate in the next CBA.

Would you guys consider a Dalembert for Diop/Mohammed swap? Dalembert performed reasonably well under Brown when they were together in Philly? Money-wise, it works the same for the next two years.

Anybody like anything from the Mavs, besides Dirk, for Mek? We could take contracts, but I don't really see a big match between us unfortunately. Mek would solve a big problem for us as the starter next to Dirk, so I'm just asking.

I'd do it - just to get out of the last couple of years of Diop's deal.

Dalembert's deal finishes at the end of 2011

Nazzy's deal finishes as the end of 2011
Gana's deal finishes at the end of 2013

Then I would look to trade EO50.

AGREED! Dalembert is a better pllayer than either of those guys. While he's no lynchpin, he could start at the 5 if necessary; particularly if you could trade Mek for a quality starting 4.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

You know, LB gets lauded a lot, but every now and again he does something very stupid like bringing in the worthless piece of **** that is Gana Diop.

Until someone explains to me how the play of Gana Diop equals more wins than the play of Nazr Mohammed, I will continue to be frustrated with this thief.

Gana/Nazr for Shaq

Get it done.
Humble yourself.

we should have kept hollins, then sent him to hang out w/ chris anderson all summer, getting tattoos and doing whatever else it is that anderson does in his spare time. hopefully hollins would have come back next year as birdman part 2.

I don´t think the 76ers are doing a Diop/Mohammed xxxx Dalembert. They want to get rid of a bad contract, but they are receiving 2...

A spanish 76ers fan posted a Dalembert + 17 + Green/Ivey xxx Radma/Mohammed + 12

Not bad,but i´d rather make a Dalembert + Green xxx Radma/Diop (we´ve to include Vlade,cause they need a 3 point shooter)

Then we draft a sg,or we trade Okafor for Hamilton, and we´ve the team ready
