if only burnett didn't stink :nonono: mets won the series, i might even call fatcesa to rub it in who was saying mets would be lucky to win 1 game and how pelfrey was gonna get pounded ... pelfrey handled the bosox well, very well.

that what happens when you stick with your young pitcher, hughes will find his niche like how pelfrey did.

2 awesome games today. Arod clutch 2 run homer followed by Melky's 3rd walk off hit of the season. Then the Mets getting that 2 run homer to take the lead followed by incredible defensive plays in the bottom on the 9th to seal it. Oh yeah, and Toronto loses 5 in row. half game outta 1st

Did you think we had to pinch run for Cano and pinch hit for Cervelli? That really messed us up in the extra innings with Pena coming in with 2 guys on base and then Cash being subbed in for Swisher.

And someone get Matsui a tennis racket.

Well I only asked since I always thought Cano has above average speed on the bases. I could be wrong.

* i think pena is faster, but i dont know....at that point, the key is to tie the game

its one of those things you can question

but to me, the more glaring issue is the stink job matusi, garnder, swish are putting up and the pen mess....i want melancon to be pitching there instead of tomko cuz he actualy has a future here, so even if we lose off him, at least he learns and grows

another questionable was move by tex was swinging on ball 4 in the 10th with 2 on and arod behind u....u gotta take the base and trust ur #4 hitter

i mean theres a lot i can question from this game from a managing aspect, but 8-2 stand, i'll take it and leave the second guessing to another series:)

I'm just stuck on this game. I'm always stuck on the ones "we should"ve won". You're absolutely right though...nothing too bad about an 8-2 homestand. Well, off to Texas...a good team at home this season coming off a sweep.

That Tex DP hurt not even because it killed a rally but because it took the bat right out of ARod's hands. It is fair to question the pinch runner for Cano, but honestly it would all be moot if Tex would have taken his walk or at least not grounded into a DP. Ah well, it was a good and exciting homestand, now we need to get right back to work tomorrow.

Hughes returns to where he almost made a name for himself in the history books but instead began his tailspin...

another tidbit for the future is sending damon home...he cant run over the catcher, so the 3B coach needs to be less agressive in giving the green signal...twice this series he got nailed at hime
