Im scared to draft knowing that it seems we cant develop talent very well but if all those players are left I think we should take Teague.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Some of those scouting reports are off. The Teague/Law "young pg"comparison makes no sense because Teague is 20 and Law was older than every player on that list when he was drafted. Maynor also doesn't struggle to finish in traffic..he has a textbook floater that he can use with either hand. Now whether he can to the lane often enough to use it is a different question.

I'm just not convinced Teague is a PG. If you're wanting a scorer/shooter off the bench, I think he'll be fine. That's probably good value at 19.

The fan poll on that page is really telling (about the readers). Over 50% of the respondents say Center is the position the Hawks could most address in this draft. This is a draft notoriously weak on big men with only two projected in round 1 at all and Mullens clearly a project.
Going to donkey punch a leprechaun!

dallas i said the same thing. mullens will be the only possible pick at that position, and i'm not sold on taking a guy with that kind of limited desire. he definitely won't be our answer at the 5 for several years. i'd prefer going after a PG.

I'd gladly take Jeff Teague or Ty Lawson

i really do not see the pint of drafting a PG this low (especially if we keep Bibby, Law and Speedy)or to get Mullens to solve our bifg issues.
Short terms, I would gladly sign a vet like Mc Dyess to complement what we have in zaza, Al and Smooth, get rid of Morris and bring in Anderson.
I would (sign and) trade some of our assets Law, Bibby?( a la Mookie), Speedy, chill? Evans? to move up in the draft.
you may have to sign and keep Bibby and Chill before pulling a trade for a point later?

Choosing Teague is just going the Acie Law route again ... and with a lesser college player.
Lawson would be ok, but we'd have to wait, not just for the natural PG process but also for his body to grow strong enough for the NBA. Reading the scouting reports on him only confuse me. They say he has good strength (especially DraftExpress) but I've eyeballed him. He looks pretty frail to me.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Yeah, I read that. He didn't look strong to me when I saw him.

Well you're surely not that height and that weight unless it's muscle, otherwise he must be hiding bowling balls in his beer gut.

I don't see teams lining up to get Law, Speedy, or Evans. especially Speedy unless we are taking on a day contract to do so. We wouldn't move up enough for it to make that much of a difference in terms of who you would pick. All of the talent outside of the top 10 is really the same, and the dropoff from 10 to 19 really isn't huge in terms of players.

I know...but some guys weights are wildly incorrect until they go to the pre-draft camp. Lawson was at the pre-draft camp and measured 195. He did have a 6'1 wingspan though which is pretty pathetic even for a point guard. Taller point guards could probably shoot over him like a chair.

Man, I would love for Maynor to fall to us. But he'll surely be a lotto pick.
