Thanks rev, would love to have more but so would everybody else lol but man if we package love and #6 we better get a darn good player. The only guys i could see are Granger, Iggy, Joe Johnson, Caron Butler?, Devin Harris, CHRIS PAUL(my fantasy). Who are the guys you would want if we packaged love and #6?

It wouldn't be worth it for a one year rental of Joe Johnson. If Love is going out (and Jefferson is hurt) a big man should be coming in. I wouldn't mind a combo of either Harris/Yi or Augustin/Okafor.

YES!

It sounds like we are looking to do the same things I do when I start a franchise on 2K9, trade Love, expirings, and draft picks for a star wing to pair with Foye and Jefferson. I always get Granger and base my team off that trio, and I would definitely trade Love and the #6 to get him and Jarrett Jack.

I can't imagine that Danny Granger would get traded, though I would LOVE it...I'm having a hard time believing that the Wolves will find what they are looking for. I don't doubt that they are trying but young players of the caliber that are worth Love+6+expirings just don't get traded unless we took on just incredible amounts of salary, in which case we better hope that someone signs with us for the MLE to try to ride Jefferson and player X to a championship. We would probably have to use the MLE on Pekovic next summer (worth it).

Some FAs who could be interesting for us:
Josh Childress
-still RFA I think, but I can't imagine the Hawks match with bad blood and needing to pay Bibby

Jarrett Jack
-RFA, I think they match the MLE

Luther Head
-if we unload big time for a playmaker PG and need some shooting

Linas Kleiza
-RFA, Denver probably matches

Ramon Sessions
-RFA, MLE gets matched

I think Childress probably makes the most sense if we trade for a point guard. I see that happening. If we trade for a wing, maybe something like Cardinal+18 for S&T Sessions?

The only reason Sessions might not be resigned is the Bucks having no money to work with. How do you expect them to just take on Cardinal's contract plus the salary of of another 1st rounder?

Unless the wing player we trade for is young and will sign for a few years, this would make little sense to me. Putting one established player next to Al doesn't make us contenders anyway, so why not just keep developing Love, get a wing player with the 6th pick, and keep doing what we're doing until everything clicks?

Well, Cardinal is not long term salary and the 18th pick won't get paid all that much. You think they wouldn't match an MLE offer?

Considering Miller himself is an established wing player, it's probably a YOUNG established wing player/guard.

It should be a young player unless were gonna try and do what the celtics did when they traded for ray allen and Kg, which we shouldnt try and do at all. I would love for the hornets to be stupid enough to trade CP3 to us

I can't wait until Vince Carter is in a Wolves jersey. :banghead:

Please, please, please, for the love of every God in every religion, let us just grab Tyreke Evans, BJ Mullens, and DeJuan Summers(or Omri Casspi), then stash a few Euros with the 2nd round picks. Then hold on to our expirings until the trade deadline to see what kind of team we have, and trade our expirings for star players of teams panicking that bombed this year and don't want to pay the luxury tax.

I can't imagine that we would really go for Vince Carter. It's got to be a younger player.

Dear Buddha I hope so, but I fear a quick fix with bad longterm results will be the direction we go in just to make a splash and excite a non-existent fanbase.

Not even the Wolves are dumb enough to give up Love for a fading star.

big3...I think it's safe to assume that I speak for most when I say that is a huge relief. I'm already super nervous about the draft...i don't need any extra stress thinking Love is going for an older sg :D

Jason Kidd? Why not go for broke and pull Gary Payton out of the booth and onto our championship contender?

They probably would but if they didn't it would be because they have no money. So if they aren't willing to match an offer for Sessions why would they take on Cardinal/18? They would use that money to either sign/match an offer on Sessions or maybe use it on CV, they wouldn't use it for Cardinal/18. See what I am saying?

Yes, but I'm saying maybe the do it because Cardinal is expiring, so he's not a long term contract like CV/Sessions would be, so that take that on to get an extra 1st rounder. I'm not Milwaukee, maybe they don't do that, but that was my reasoning, anyhow.
