I remember this stupidity.

KG and Flip know far more about that season and the individuals than everyone here combined will ever know, yet they maintain close relationships with people like Sam. No though, we better listen to some hack on sports radio and a bunch of tinfoil hat wearing forum posters to tell us what the "truth" is. Besides, how can you argue against ironclad logic like "I saw Sam not pass to Wally a few times so he MUST have been trying to sabotage the team"?

Flip definitely made the comment about Cassell's injuries flaring up when a quick point guard came to the Target Center. I about died when I heard that the first time.

Cassell and Spree both had issues, are some people forgetting Sam skipping the press conferences at the beginning of the season and reporting to camp late.

KG publicly supported Cassell in his quest for a new contract, though.

Sounds to me like KG and Flip are fairly forgiving, they respect his talents, both as a player and a future coach, and at the end of the day, both want to win more than anything. Unless it's a white European, KG can't hold grudges.

Cassell was a well known a-hole long before he came to the Timberwolves and he gave on the Clippers 2 years after he left the Wolves. There's plenty of evidence to back this up.
Anyway, I'm sorry you missed it, but Cassell pushed his own agenda for Wolves as obviously as anyone I've ever seen.

There's a substantial difference between being an ***hole and doing so in a purposeful attempt to wreak havoc...a difference requiring far more evidence than "Like, OMG Sam doesn't like to pass to Wally World! Like, WTF?".

I'd ask for the piles of evidence that you posses that is actually of value, or how you're more knowledgeable and a better judge of those events than KG/Flip, however I'll let your mindless nonsense stand for itself.

All you had to do was watch the games, it was that obvious. It's not like I call out anyone who plays like crap. I know the difference between playing bad because you're hurt and playing bad because you're being self serving. There was more than the two events I cited, those were just the two most obvious because there were obvious reactions from teammates. I was calling for Cassell to be benched 30 games into that season because his play was so dispicable.
I'm not sure what you think Cassell playing with the Celtics has to do with what he did with Timberwolves, the Celtics were desperate for a back up point guard and everyone knows that Cassell is capable of being a big time clutch player. It doesn't mean he didn't sabotage the TImberwolves. The Celtics signed Marbury this year, does that somehow imply that he and KG didn't at one point have a strong dislike for each other?
The fact is that Cassell was accused of sabotaging/giving up on Milwaukee, Minnesota, and the Clippers within a span of 4-5 years, but you're right, it's probably all a conspiracy against Cassell.

Worm Guts, please change your opinion on the matter because there's no way possible we agree on something. ;-)

I think we agree on plenty of stuff, I just don't mention it because it's only fun if there's a debate.
