Petrie, please don't draft..........

Who do you want to see Petrie definitely pass on in the draft

For me.........Brandon Jennings.

I was going to say Jordan Hill but I really do think he's maybe not given enough credit with how much potential he does have. He already has the makings of a very decent jumper from 15-18 feet out. He also is a pretty determined shotblocker and rebounder. He's also got pretty good athleticism and size and also loves physical contact. I think he's a starter in this league, but there is too big of a chance IMO that he becomes a role player that could only be considered a starter under the right circumstances.

I've been trying to figure out who the guy reminds me of for awhile now and it dawned on me the other day, Horace Grant. I wouldn't mind a Horace Grant type of player on this team.

With that said, my answer's still probably Jordan Hill if it's at 4.

Many mock draft sites - like ESPN, YAHOOSPORTS, NBADRAF.NET... - saying Sacramento moves to choice Jordan Hill.
So I ask, would really be Petrie interested in that pick? Don't we have some priorities (PG and SF) before PF? Or it's just a false speculation?

Because the "Official ........ Thread" basically regardless of what it is always gets to big and full of too many related sub topics to follow any one idea very well.

+1 on that, those multiple page threads that cover every facet of a topic get way to cumbersome for my tastes.

Petrie don't draft Thabeet.

We aren't drafting Jordan Hill he had Ike Diogu's same stats in the same league. We will just resign Ike at the low vet level who is more mature. Thabeet (14/11/4) had weaker stats than Shelden Williams (21/11/4) who we moved along for Ike last year because he made too much money.

Mikki Moore has never averaged more than 11 pts at any level in his career (best year in college was a 12/7 in college) and with Jason Kidd. He is a career potenial guy who is really a heartless quiter and loser. You better take that comment back about Hill, Shelden, Diogu and that goes for Hansborough who has heart and is a winner. You never know who will make it it the NBA but it is a smarter gamble to go with the people who have proven to be be productive instead of potential.

We do only need an enforcer off the bench, a shotblocker off the bench who actually blocks some shots, and a PG. Obviously the PG is our biggest need and we need to get the best we can get our hands on.

Brandon Jennings has to be my call. There are seriously 7 pg in this draft that I would rather have than Jennings. Hill would be pretty bad too.

I actually wouldnt mind seeing the Kings take Calathes with the first pick of the second round now.

I think if BJ Mullens falls to us at 23 he could end up being a steal. I honestly do now know why the kid came out this year. He is extremely raw, but has a lot of potential and if he were to stay at OSU for another year I think he would have been a lottery pick.

It looks like we won't need to worry about Calathes....

I'll tell you why he's in--he's one of only two legitimate centers in possibly the entire draft. That alone helps his stock.

But until he gets his head straight, I'd have him down as a likely bust.

As for the thread, I would say "Petrie, please don't draft anyone you don't want to draft. Use your knowledge, which is far superior to all of ours, and draft whoever you think will be the best player. I trust you, pretty much no matter what."
