Odom has dissappeared in the playoffs... Which I think it pretty typical for him.
Walton in turn has stepped up... Which I think is pretty typical of him.

Not saying Walton is better than Odom, but I think he's earned a right to stay.

Pau is still getting a double-double every night... He's not delivering on the defensive end like I'd like, but I'm starting to see that as not really being his fault.

Odom and Bynum are gambling on doubles and potential blocks and are out of position, while Gasol is sticking to his assignments...

Farmar is contributing, but I just don't think he respects our system as much as our "Future PG" needs to...

Brown is still rough, but he's shooting smart and playing with energy.

I think we should:

Kobe, Gasol, Ariza --- Core... Not entirely untouchable but as close as possible...
Walton, Fish --- Glue guys... System guys... Teachers. Keep them because they pretty much don't fit anywhere else.
Shannon Brown --- Physically, emotionally, and attitude-wise, this guy is about as close to a replacement for Fish as you can get. But he has youth and speed, and penetration skills. Keep him unless you get something incredible for him.
Odom --- Try to keep him, but he was a let down in the finals last year and has been almost a non-factor in the post-season this year.... So how much do you really want to pay him?
Bynum --- He's clearly making more than he's earning. His attitude is suspect, and his health is still up in the air... If he's just not 100% healthy and he has a chance to return to his former effectiveness on both ends of the floor, then he's untouchable... But if this is as good as it gets, trade him now. So I think it's safest to hold on to him until after the start of next season and maybe make a move at the deadline...
Farmar, Sasha, Powel, Ammo, Etc... --- Trade bait. We need to improve at PG, SF, PF, C in that order...

We need a young PG with some length and athleticism to learn from Fish.
We need some bruisers at SF, PF and C. Some guys that can score in the 10s every night and can throw their weight around on D. We need Athleticism, smarts and lock down D...

We need Birdman/James Posey type players... Passionate fighters... Ariza is that type of player but we need at least one big body with the same passion.

I wonder if we are going to keep Lamar Odom. He hasn't shown up in the playoffs. The Lakers are a team that are obviously going to keep getting back to the playoffs. Maybe letting Lamar Odom go wouldn't be so bad. Imagine us bringing in a guy like Hedo.

-Gasol is likeable.

-Odom is a good player that can be a really really good player.

-Bynum for Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon? ;)

-Sasha will either help us win the title or be sent to the NBDL.

-Walton will have to develop a sweet jumpshot

-Ariza gotta pack on 10lbs of muscle and keep improving on his jumpshot.

-I'll wrap this up sometime, ttyl.

I like the idea of Blake Griffin for Bynum. Griffin is a hardworker. Bynum is tall but now hardworking. The Lakers would have to take on a expiring contract with him.
Re-sign Ariza and get Scott Pippen to coach him.
Fisher my favorite player should be a player/coach. A assistant and play if someone gets hurt.
Odom should bring in his offer if they are too high let him go.

Actually no Kobe is not untouchable either because you see in decade so far any superstar can get dealt, and I hope Kobe opts out and signs for less and doesn't get another no-trade clause because so we can get out of it if Kobe declines and we can get what we can get for him and it's great business move too.

I would consider making some astute moves such as taking advantage of New Orleans' salary difficulties. Offering Vujajic for Posey could be one move. I figure Posey can do what Sasha does on offense anyway and with Ariza it'd make a dynamic defensive combo.

In addition to that I would re-sign Ariza and add a veteran PF like McDyess.

Posey will cover the defensive edge that Odom brings covering athletic PFs as he's also very long, strong, but a bit quicker laterally. Over the projected Ariza+Odom extension you've saved 4m in salary, 8m total. Do the Walton/Morrison trade for Curry to save cash amounting to 10m or so with a Walton two year re-signing included for dirt cheap.

PG- Brown, Farmar, 1st
SG- Bryant, 2nd (Posey basically, it works because Farmar is a very capable ball-handler), Yue
SF- Ariza, Walton (on a buy-out), Posey
PF- Gasol, McDyess, Posey, Powell
C- Bynum, Curry (could see a little improvement in his value in the triangle), Mbenga

Defensively it's a sound roster in every sense, you've spread the floor better for Bynum and Gasol with the on and off again Odom gone and Vujajic put to better use.

Do these seem like fair value?

Adam Morrison, Jordan Farmar, DJ Mbenga for Jamal Tinsley and #13

Adam Morrison, Sasha Vujacic, Jordan Farmar for Willie Green, Reggie Evans, and #17

Take on salary to acquire mid first rounders and productive veterans.

Because the Hornets are not competing any time soon and they need to save money.

Well that explains why they tried to trade Tyson Chandler away at the deadline to save money. Aslo we can weasel another first round pick from them as well by giving them one or both our 2nd round picks.

I think it would be smart for lakers to use the 1st round pick or the 2nd round pick obtained from charolette as a package with sasha to give to a rebuilding team that has the cap space to take on sasha's contract.
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.
