I would consider Dj a better prospect than the pg's in this draft but we have Felton who we are hoping to hold onto.

Would this interest you's at all? What else would you want in exchange? We would easily give up our 2 second round picks, I dunno about the #12 pick.

I proposed a deal of DJ/#12 for #4/#23 as the principle deal and I think both teams could find some benefit outta that kind of proposal.

Yeah, I would do that trade. I like DJ and we #12 is the same pick we had last year, I'm sure Petrie would find someone good there.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

My comment was less politically driven, and more a statement that he should butt out of the Kings business. He should be too busy to know anything about the draft or the team, and his statements reflect that. I just do not think it is news whenever a high profile person makes a statement about sports. I do not care who Ben Alflack, Oprah, Kim Jung Il , or Obama think we should take in the draft. They add zero insight to the team, and we sit here and discuss what they think.

The warning wasn't aimed at anybody in particular. I'm just making sure that we avoid all discussion on that.

I'd be shocked and awed and surprised if Jennings realized half the career of Rasheed Wallace.

Well, I've heard that Wallace is actually a genius in terms of basketball IQ.

While most players only know their own positions and movements in plays, Rasheed learns and fully understands everyone roles.

Apparently Flip said Rasheed was the smartest basketball player he's ever coached.

Given Rasheed's size, ability to shoot, physical toughness, and genius IQ status, he should have been able to become one of the greatest bigs to ever play the game....however he kinda wasted away a lot of years and effort.

NOW Jennings, I don't see has anywhere near the potential Rasheed had, but the potential Jennings does have, I can easily envision him wasting simply due to lack of effort and stupidity.

I think most people have this misconception of Jennings that he is a immature person or a punk, when they refer him as a bust. I don't think of him as a bust but as one of the best PGs in the draft. I read many publication about Jennings that he is very humble and willing to learn from a basketball aspect. I think most people that list him as a bust should research a bit more on Jennings currently. They might be surprised.

I don't think he has the tools nor skills to excel in the NBA. TOO slight, bad jumper, lower BB IQ...I just don't see the makings of a starter in the NBA, let alone a STAR. I watch his game and see BUST written across his forehead.

Bobcats coach Larry Brown is reportedly high on Davidson's Stephen Curry.

Charlotte has the 12th overall pick, but may be willing to trade up to get Curry, according to DraftExpress.com.

The Knicks are known to like Curry, and the Wizards, Timberwolves and Warriors could show interest as well.

That's a huge oportunity to take Augustin.

if we can't get Rubio at 4, then I really like that option. Grab Augustin/12 for #4 as our rip-off deal.

Grab Clarke at #12.
Marcus Thornton #23
Pat Millsi at #31

Sign Marcin Gortat to a 3 year 17 million dollar deal
Take Diogu's QO

Kings new roster:

C: Hawes, Gortat
PF: Thompson, Diogu Thomas
SF: Clarke, Nocioni, Greene
SG: Martin, Garcia, Thornton
PG: Augustin, Beno, Mills

I think if we did that Charlotte deal, we may have to add in #23. But also, IIRC from that article, it talked about how Brown felt Curry could play with their current PGs in a midget backcourt.

If Jennings weren't from Compton and a product of his former environment people wouldn't have such a negative take on him. If you like another player I can respect that, as I've declared someone other than Brandon Jennings the best PG in the draft. Just don't blast a guy and say stupid things because he's not the guy you'd like to see. If you think Jennings doesn't have the physical tools to play in the NBA you're not able to objectively evaluate talent.

Roma’s general manager, Dejan Bodiroga, said he had been impressed with Jennings’s attitude, work ethic and determination. That has coalesced with his natural ability. ‘He’s one of the top talents that I’ve ever seen,’ Bodiroga said.

Yes Jennings stats weren't great, but if we are comparing stats I looked at other stats in Euroleague for other comparable players and they were surprisingly no different to worse. FYI Euroleague is a tournament for the best 16 clubs in Europe. The fact that Jennings was signed to Roma out of high school states he has NBA talent. Jennings didn't go to a scrub club in Europe and ride the pine. He got PT.

If he doesn't excite you great. If he isn't the best PG in the draft great. But to say he doesn't have the tools to be in the NBA you're lost!

The fact that it's been reported that Petrie isn't all that infatuated with Jennings just reaffirms my belief that Jennings won't live up to a lottery pick, even in this 'weak draft'.

Not a fan.

That's unfair. As good as Petrie on discovering/knowing talent, he isn't a measuring stick on prospects success. And I don't really remember Petrie have said that anyways iirc.

Just like you said in the other thread, HS to the college level is a BIG jump (probably bigger than college to NBA) but HS to the International is the BIGGEST jump that a teenager can get. It is the biggest change for a young American player like Jennings can possibility would face.

Wow, I can't see Charlotte trading Augustin at all, but if you get the chance to land him you do it no question. He already proved he can play last season. If not, I'm still for going BPA at #4 or trading down for a Jonny Flynn/Eric Maynor.
