Using caps is essentially like yelling the entire thing. It is not a big deal, but sort of annoying.

I am surprised that you have Claver at 8, I could see top 20 but this seems a little high. Have you seen him play a lot? If you have I would like to know why you think he has the potential to be a top 8 player out of this draft.

I have been watching Vic for 3 or so years now. I have him that high for two reasons- (1) what he could develop into and (2) some of the limitations I see in the prospects I have below him

First, Vic is an excellent athlete at 6'10. This fact combined with his apparent good (not great) bball IQ/feel and his developing ball skills make him a top 20 lock. Then you throw in the fact that he brings an elite NBA skill to the table in his ability to translate over as a knock down 3-pt shooter. He is a weak defender at this time but like many of his flaws this should improve with time/maturity/seasoning/coaching. Other areas for improvement are a middle game. But the big question mark is defense, I feel that if you are comfortable with what you see in that you can see him improving defensively (mainly his ability to defend the perimeter) then he is a great prospect

Yeah I was going to say my reasoning behind Tyreke's placement. I like him slightly higher than I have him (probably # 8-9) but I stand by my opinion that Tyreke would have greatly benefited from an additional year at Memphis to refine his game off the ball (but I know this would have been unlikely because they would have just given him the PG spot again)... but yes I agree that he may be slightly too low, especially if he can find the right situation (ie. NY or GSW)

Harden is right where I want him at this pt... The recent release of the measurements even make me more comfortable placing Henderson ahead of him. But I am not ignorant, Harden could go to the right team (where the ball will be in his hands a lot) and he could thrive ... but as prospects on both sides of the basketball and against opponents at the NBA's highest athleticism level, I am sticking with Gerald (liked his all around skill level ever since HS)

As for Maynor, I think he has just enough quickness/athleticism to make it happen and then combine this with excellent IQ/feel/pace and you have a ready to go leader at the PG spot. But I am interested to see how he handles the lateral movements/requirements of defending the NBA lead guard.

Hardens measurements? Every single one of them were ridiculously similar to Henderson only a little better.

Bucks would never take Henderson over Harden.

That is what I am saying... I feel better about having Henderson above him because he was very similar to Harden in measurements... I was worried he would come out much smaller than Harden

and this is NOT a mock draft dude, it's a big board.... never said who the Bucks would take

I know its not a mock, I'm just saying for the Bucks there would be a 0% chance Henderson would be over Harden. I would probably say that for every other team in the league as well.

Thabeet is a still improving, freakishly athletic, young 7-3 prospect whose impact on the game is not always captured in stats. Sure he is somewhat robotic but he shows decent touch on the basketball and that is a nice starting point offensively. Give him a season or two of NBA experience (hopefully improving his positional, 1-on-1 post defense), conditioning, and coaching and I think he has a sizable impact on the game

Harden- question his ability to create his own shot and getting into the lane to create for others; and once he did get into the land at Arz St, I saw little explosiveness; defensive lateral movement/quickness; athleticism; takeover mentality?

Curry- a frame that should fill out somewhat (added girth will come in handy as he never will be a blazing speed guy); deadeye shooter with NBA range with ease; extreme bball IQ and vastly underrated PG instincts; big time performer in the clutch

Maynor- poised true leader; IQ; underrated quickness thanks to understanding and use of pace; funky release but confident and capable (apparently shooting well in workouts and at combine)

Evans- as I think I said in an earlier response, I like Evans more so at #8 (especially if in the right offensive scheme and for his great defensive potential, great def versatility) I only have him lower and at 12 more out of stubbornness because I think he needed to stay one more year to improve off the ball and further refine his feel for the game (his IQ/feel is good but flawed at times)

These explanations are only a small portion of my thoughts in these guys but in general I am a "gut/feel" evaluator (although I do get into specifics) but I make sure to remember that intitial feeling that a prospect gives me -- for instance, Gerald Henderson impressed me from day one when I saw him in the McD's HS all-american game and he showed his advanced all around game for such a young kid and his defensive potential on the NBA perimeter -- and another example is Courtney Lee, watched 5 mins of action in a supposed bad game for him and just knew/felt he was a late lottery talent in that draft, not early 20's where he ended up going ... and I recommend my approach, don't over think things

I moved him (Harden) up to 10 haha... a part of me still wants to have henderson above him... might even move back to that, we'll see

Claver- 6'10, great athlete, good first step, NBA skill in his shooting, decent feel for the game, developing ball skills... if he was in the NCAA there would be little debate about him being considered in the top 10 imo... just needs some further experience and development defensively

Holiday as the 2nd lowest pg is odd and I'd like that explained.

Holiday showed me very little at UCLA when I now try and translate him over as an NBA pg, he isn't ready and is making a mistake but with that said he brings nice physical traits to the table but even with that isn't a great athlete (solid/good)... nothing about his game stands out whereas Teague and Flynn bring elite NBA skills in their speed and explosiveness, not to mention the fact that they are the superior perimeter shooters

As for Evans- as I have said before, I like his game and wanted to have him higher on my big board right from the get go but I was sticking to my gut feeling that he was making a mistake by declaring this season (still feel that way though). But after some more video watching, I have become more comfortable with his shooting stroke when in the context of off the bounce and in the middle game... watch the kings workout film- his stroke improves when shooting off the bounce and the more I watch of him the more I get the sense of the impact he will have on the court -- has a good confidence/bravado about him and his movements remind me of Lebron (especially his power and extension at the rim)
