Wait...reading the article I don't think she's really leaving....despite the headline.

"A previous report indicated that Palmer would be leaving the NBA, but she will continue her officiating duties as well."

Sounds to me like she's just taking on a second job.

hmm its not clear, lets hope for the leagues sake she retires, if anything her continued reffing would be detrimental to having more women ref, shes just bad, and there is no reason female referees should not be as good as men so continuing to use her simply perpetuates a bad negative stereotype that all women referees would be horrible. Good luck in your non reffing life VP.
