Jazz Holding Draft Party

Post#1 » by Racer X » Fri May 29, 2009 10:30 pm

Reported in the Trib Blog
fter a one-year hiatus, the Jazz announced Friday they will host their annual draft party June 25 at EnergySolutions Arena. The event will start at 4:30 p.m., with the Jazz airing a highlight video from the 2008-09 season, before the draft commences at 5 p.m.

This really surprises me. Would they hold a draft party if they thought that they would trade the pick. I really did not expect them to hold a draft party with the way that the economy is. I'm sure its not a ajor expense, but an expense none the less. I really appreciate that they are going to be putting on something like this for the fans. Its always fun. See you fools there.

One year I went and picked up some free preseason tickets. OR RMR tickets, I forget. Anyway, it was a good deal.

I enjoy going even if I'm usually a loner.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Well I hope this means they are keeping the pick or making a good draft day trade.
