If anything leave the NBA politics out and let the teams play instead of just handing them the title for the sake of it. If the NBA is gon to be reduce to this mess, then I rather not watch another game if the higher ups are just giving titles away w/o letting the teams earn them first.

What's anybody's take on the Cavs/Magic and Nuggets/Lakers series at this point?

The shot by LBJ was unfortunately a good shot that earn the Cavs the win and instantly dealt the Magic a shocking loss. ESPN has replayed that hell out of that play like it was the best shot since sliced bread. Game 2 is over. Move to game 3 and make things happen if you're the Magic.

For the Nugz/Lakers series. The Nugs could easily be 3-0 on the Lakers right now if they stop forcing the issues from beyond the arc and stop picking up silly fouls. They really have the weapons to beat the Lakers with. Just stop beating themselves and beat the players in purple.

The NBA is absolutely laughable when it comes to building up big time players. Lebron has made some ridiculous shots, but this does not make him as clutch as some prior greats. Look at his poor free throw shooting in game three or perhaps his airball on a 3 point attempt/three turnovers towards the end of game four. Sorry Bron, you have a long way to go!

And as for that quote on the newsfeed: nothing would shock me the way that series has been called. Some horrible no calls both ways which really shifted momentum in the game. I remember at the end of this last game, Melo was just mauled at the basket to the shock of no foul call. That led to a Lakers fast break and a momentum shift. That ticks me off.

Game 5 of the Lakers/Nuggets match has been like a seesaw match. Danver plays like they are smart one minute and the next minute they play stupid like jak up 3balls like they goin to make every like one of em. The Lakers are soft in the post. Try slashin in the post and draw some fouls, if not some 2 plus one plays.

As for the Cavs/Magic series. I want the Magic to win. And despite the refs missin calls on both ends. The Magic done a solid job keepin the Cavs teammates from LBJ. As for tonight's game, I was waitin on a loss to happen. More likely it was motivated to save face for the Cavs since they still sit on the edge of elimination. The Magic will go back home on Saturday with the hopes of closin out the series for keeps. They need to if they wish to play in the Finals.

With the exception of the Cavs, I agree with your ideal scenario. In a perfect world, I would like to see Denver win it all.

I may have second thoughts, but as of now, I'm done with the NBA playoffs. The referees control way too much of the game- it's just too frustrating to watch. Do any of you share my disgust? I feel that they have the ability to alter the flow of the game, with the excessive amount of technical and flagrant fouls being called. It's out of hand, and I refuse to watch it.

Refs can make and break a game. Really depends on who teams on the floor and if David Stern has a hand in deciding who will get the calls. Right now, Denver is out of the playoffs for keeps. If the Cavs "happen" to win games 6 and 7 in the series. I will not watch the NBA Finals. It's asinine to give a title to a team when they haven't earn it in the first place and to give the MVP to a player who draws Michael Jordan comparisons on the daily basis. There is only one Michael Jordan and the history he has laid out on the NBA hardwood are rare moments of greatness that can never be repeated again. Ever!
