I'll agree for the most part. But sometimes I just dont feel like Kobe gets the same calls as the Wades/LeBron's. Maybe its because he isn't as strong and therefore just gets knocked around easier and the fouls are more obvious, but I just dont think he gets the same calls.

With that said, LeBron is still twice the player Kobe is. :D

Easily. So do Barkley and Reggie Miller.

Much hating on Mike Brown's lack of adjustments.

Well Magic and Kenny have Kobe. Coincidently, Magic and Kenny have rings were Reggie and Charles do not. Yeah, I'd say Magic and Kenny have a better understanding of what being the best means.

Absolutely. LeBron is the best. The CP3, then Dwight. Kobe is close to that list but no cigar.

Yep, Kenny Smith knows a lot about being a better basketball player than Charles Barkley or Reggie Miller.

Wise, come back to reality please. I worried about you.

Haha, not even close. Lebron is the most talented, but I would say Kobe is the BEST player for now. Dwight would be next and then CP3. Putting CP3 ahead of Kobe is ridiculous.

Wise, if we were talking about golf, I could get behind your theory. Basketball is a team sport.

I'd also be more amenible to your theory if Kobe had't historically been so awful in the finals.

Gotta wonder after this how close LeBron is to saying "**** this, NYC here I come!". The city of Cleveland and the Cavs organization has to be extremely nervous.

A comforting thought is that, if we ever get good, we probably have the best player in the league to guard Howard.

Ummm, Kenny has two rings as a starting point guard and played with one of the greatest players ever in Olajuwan. He knows winning and he knows greatness. So does Magic by the way. So yeah, I'd give their opinions more weight than Reggie and Charles who may be biased based on his past beef with Kobe.

Fine if you do, but losing to the underdog after posting the best record in the league and garnering the MVP trophy is a serious chink in the Lebron is the greatest argument. Kobe doesn't give in to attrition. Lebron wilted when his team needed him most.

Wise, Kobe was the MVP last year and his team was favored in the Finals and they lost in 6.

Agreed. For the most part, Ferry has done an awful job getting the right talent (or any talent) around Lebron. Getting Mo was a HUGE step in the right direction for their franchise and the move brought them a 21 game improvement, but as stated last year, he should be the third best player on a championship team.

Failing to move Wally's contract at the deadline with Hickson for a veteran player was the kiss of death for them. I guess Hammond accomplished one mission this year.

Kirby, Barkley is a Hall of Famer and Miller could be. I'd say their opinions should carry a lot of weight as well.

But this argument doesn't really matter. All those players in the top 5 are amazing and we would love to have anyone with that type of talent.

The finals should be fun to watch. Although I really like both teams...don't know who to cheer for.

We're not talking about winning titles as a role player for great centers on championship teams from many years ago. If we were, then Kobe beats Lebron in a rout.

We're talking about best player today. now.

Your hero is dead man. Give it up. You said LePrince was the greatest player in the NBA by far. Where is he? Running from the media? He's not ready.

Give Barkley major props - he called the Magic winning the series. I'm not sure many others did.

Go Magic. Glad they knocked out Cavs.
