Koscheck may have better credentials, but what matters is how they have applied it to MMA. I think Kos has applied it pretty damn well though.
I don't think Trigg will make much noise in the UFC's WW division, but he's a name, he can help hype a fight, and he's still very good. Just not good enough to beat the top 10 guys, IMO.
GSP did not wrestle in NCAA or college in Canada, he learned how and still trains with Canada's National(Olympic) Team.

You said Koscheck was a better wrestler than Trigg because he has more NCAA wins. I asked how many NCAA wins GSP has, knowing full well the answer would be zero. I asked this because GSP is arguably the best wrestler in MMA. I was using GSP as an example to illustrate the point that someone can be an outstanding wrestler even if they didn't have a decorated NCAA campaign.
