I agree Miller would just get in the way of the rookie PG's growth. Miller needs to be on a playoff contending team, not on a rebuilding team.

As for Noc, Cisco and Beno being such bad contracts lets discuss them one at a time:
1) Noc's deal gets smaller each year. He plays hard nosed defense, rebounds well and shoots the ball well. He is tradable.
2) Cisco's deal is in line with his skills. Lots of teams would take Cisco.
3) Beno had a bad year last year so his contract appears to be a stinker. One thing that has occured to me is that Beno has got worse since he has been a KIng. I remember watching Beno when Petrie first traded for him. Beno was like a breath of fresh air, he looked like a pretty good PG. So what happened, did Theus and Natt coach it out of him? I want to see Beno play with a better coach calling the game.

Of course players are moveable, but realistically Beno will be near impossible to move. (We couldn't move Kenny). It depends if we move Nocioni/Garcia.

And it will be "half a decade."

In '11 we will have to resign Hawes.
'12 Thompson/Donte

and so forth.

The only way we have cap space, is if Hawes/Thompson/#4 all fail and don't deserve contracts around 9-10 mil.

Actually the Kings apparently had multiple offers for Kenny at one point. The one I know about for sure was that offer from Houston for Stromile Swift, which the Kings declined. That's the problem, the Kings declined. At that point Kenny was THE guy at PF and was playing pretty dang well, says more than something for selling high, or at least for what's "high" at the time. The worst thing in our ability to possibly trade Beno would be for him to end up playing behind another PG that comes in right away as the new guy at that spot. If Beno has a solid season, which unfortunately for some on here means actual PLAYING TIME, he's more than movable.

Or if one "fails" and doesn't deserve that contract. But to be fair, if those draft picks end up being worth a little bit less than that, it's hardly "failing". And if they are all worth that, than our team is in damn good shape. That's 4 starters worth at least $10million a year. All we would really need is one more above MLE FA.
