Measurements for the draftees

Looks like Blake Griffin has short arms. But he is a half inch taller than I thought he would be without shoes.

Tyler Hansbrough measures out better than expected.

Dejuan Blair has a crazy standing reach for being 6'5.25".

Both Evans and Harden measured out very well for guards.

And Thabeet is a really, really big guy with really long arms.

i like harden's size.. if he has some good work outs and shows some athleticism he's the pick imo.

I think your key there is athleticism. Not even necessarily for how good of a pro he'll be... more for how good everyone will see him in the draft.

In several of ASU's sets this season, it seems that they used Harden in the high post. Even in college, but especially in the NBA, this is a position more associated with the skills of a PF or "floating" center (Brad Miller in SAC, Divac in LA, etc). It's not too often that SG/SFs get featured in this manner in the NBA. If they post up, then the do it on the block. This in between game (IMO) will hurt the opinions of Harden, as he'll be seen as a guy that works in that no-mans land in the perimeter NBA game. The skills he used there can definitely help out in other areas, and I think it'd be dumb if he drops below about #6 in this draft, but lately people are forecasting him at the tail end of the top 10.

They added more results to the initial measurements. If you click on the link you'll see them.

Well I have to say I'm pretty impressed with Harden's combine numbers. He really surprised me with how well he worked out.

Over he looks like he is about as athletic as anyone in this draft as far as speed and hops go. Only DeRozan was able to get up higher and only by an inch.

His lateral quickness is 9th out of 15 for SG prospect though.

And he is packing around some extra body fat.

But overall he surprised me quite a bit.
