You tell me what are the odds Pau gets a finals MVP if he plays against Dwight Howard?

Re: PAU FINALS MVP!
At this point in his career, Kobe would love nothing more than to win a ring.
I really don't think he would care if the Finals MVP is him, Pau, Lamar, or Sun Yue.
As far as getting respect, Kobe is constantly being mentioned in the same breath as MJ and everyone in the league agrees that he is the most lethal closer in the game. I don't think that level of appreciation and respect will get diluted by someone else winning the Finals MVP. Everyone knows the Lakers would not be where they are if it weren't for Kobe's brilliance.

Kobe already has a MVP so I don't think it would matter as much.
However, I think a lot of players will step up and Kobe will take over to close it out.

Re: PAU FINALS MVP!
Oh, man, it's gonna be so tough against the Magic.
I'm a bit not exactly worried, but nervous.
As for Finals MVP, even if our players step up big, it would be enough for Kobe to put up a 40 point game or a couple of 30 point games and he's the Finals MVP in case the Lakers win.

When Pau wins the Finals MVP, Kobe will opt out of his contract and sign with the Knicks for the MLE...

Then we got it in the bag

No, I'm the one who will be worried if Kobe doesn't get the MVP. When he got his previous three rings, it was all Shaq who got the Finals MVP. He should get his own.

I think he got even more chances to do so. Howard is going to foul out every game!

Re: PAU FINALS MVP!
I just really want to see Dwight Howard have to work defensively. I want someone to make him play man-to-man and show just how good he is in that facet. There's a major difference between amazing shot-blocker and amazing man-to-man defender.

Re: PAU FINALS MVP!
To me this series will be predicated on how Physically dominating and aggressive Pau plays.
- Pau has a HUGE advantage over Lewis in the Post, if they milk that, Magic will be forced to plays doubles on him.
- Pau has a good advantage over Howard in regards to bringing Howard out of the paint, that will open the inside much better.
If Pau can take advantage and be aggressive, Lakers will be in great position.
Who cares if Pau wins the MVP, I think Kobe just wants that Championship really badly, he'd be willing to sacrifice those stats for it.

My money's on Mbenga.
Completely neutralizes Howard and shocks the world. Don't forget the 6 fouls / game on that 60% FT shooter, Phil.
btw, I though Shaq owned the rights to the superman moniker... he should sue Dwight Howard.

Re: PAU FINALS MVP!
I wish another player would get MVP, because that would mean we'd easily win a series.
I wish somebody on this team would step up as much as Tony Parker did for Tim Duncan and the Spurs in the 2007 Finals.
Too bad I don't see that happening.
