Slow Form RealGM Mock Draft

Post#1 » by dice » Mon Jun 1, 2009 3:47 pm

No clock here!

When the Suns board makes their call I move on to the next team board. I'll wait until it seems a clear frontrunner has been determined. If that cannot be accomplished a reasonable selection will be made for you :wizard:

1. Clips - Blake Griffin
2. Grizz - Ricky Rubio
3. Thunda - Hasheem Thabeet
4. Kings - James Harden
5. Wiz - Tyreke Evans
6. Wolves - Demar DeRozan
7. Warriors - Jrue Holiday
8. Knicks - Jordan Hill
9. Raps - Brandon Jennings
10. Bucks - DeJuan Blair
11. Nets - James Johnson
12. Bobcats - Terrence Williams
13. Pacers - Stephen Curry

And with the #14 pick Phoenix takes...?

Clark or Williams. In this case Clark, because of his tweener-ness which we have missed since Diaw. It allows a team built like the Suns to be more fleixible with rotations. Also, Clark will be the better rebounder and we'll need that after this next season.

Not Budinger, not this high.

How is it that we b!tch and moan about our perimeter defense and people still want to take the smallest PG they can get their hands on? Beyond me.

Just a suggestion to the creator of this thread: If you could put the team up there along with the player that selected, that would be great. It would be nice to see which team is picking which player without looking up the order. Thanks!

Looks like Clark's the boy

I wanted Williams, but Clark's a nice replacement for Barnes who'll most likely be gone via FA...

With the 14th pick in the 2009 NBA draft, the Phoenix Suns select Jonny Flynn.

Yep, that's my pick.

Just curious...

For all those on the Flynn bandwagon... why?

1. Dragic sucks
2. We need athleticism and he will probably be the best player available at number 14

Clark would be the best player at 14

Dragic really came on the last month under Gentry - look at his stats...And Flynn's not a 'great' athlete, like he won't wow anyone like TWilliams

Clark is a steal if out of the top 10...

I watched every game last year and while dragic did look better down the stretch, I'm not confident he can be an adequate backup pg anytime in the near future.

We have many needs but I think flynn is the pick for a team trying to reinstall the up-tempo offense.

There's no chance Flynn just walks straight in and plays meaningful minutes backing up Nash...I have a lot more faith in Dragic with a preseason and coaching under Gentry than I do Flynn...

Dragic is familiar with the system, the players, is bigger, older, and still a decent athlete...

I am still with the Clark
but Budinger is a close second for me.

I have more faith in Dragic than Flynn. Plus, if we are going uptempto then Dragic is going to have an advantage over Flynn. Because of his Euro playing days.
