Seriously, has anyone really looked at this guy? He's a 6'11" PF with great athleticism and pretty good defense and jumper. I was fairly sold on him on youtube as a second rounder after watching some footage from games, but what really popped out to me was his nbadraft.net comparison. While i do realize this is not completely valid, the comparison was Scott Pollard, which if i can recall is what a lot of people are thinking we could use right now. All I'm saying is why not? Obviously I'm no expert as i really just discovered the guy today, but if you guys have some comments or knocks on him please share.
Heres a link to what i saw:

Re: Josh Heytvelt
I go to Gonzaga so I have watched Heytvelt play pretty extensively. He is big and pretty athletic for his size and also has some serious range on his jumper. However, I really don't like the Scot Pollard comparison because he isn't really a physical player down on the block at all. I can't tell you how many times I have watched one of Heytvelt's shots get blocked or contested because he tried to lay the ball in instead of just throwing down a dunk. And this was when he had a physical advantage over almost all of his competitors.
He truly has all the tools to be a first round pick, but it seems like he doesn't use them consistently! I wouldn't mind picking him up in the second round but #31 might be a little high for him. For the record I am completely against Austin Daye at #23 - I don't have much, if anything, to say that is positive about him.

he measured out vey well at the combine as well at 6'11" in shoes and a 7'1.25" wingspan. How would you say his interior d is?

He's a solid player, he could be a good choice at 31 depending who else is available. I'd much rather nab one of the super athletic combo F's like Damion James or Derrick Brown.

Kind of how I feel about all three Gonzaga players possibly in this draft. Although, Heytvelt I could honestly deal with. Pargo and Daye - not so much.

Curse you Gonzaga... you bring your filth to the WCC, and now to the Kings? CURSE YOUUUUUU.
But honestly, of the three evils, Heytvelt is the most dealable. I will litterally kill something if we draft Daye, he's so completely overrated.
