This is how the GMs ranked the top 13 pgs in this years draft class.
1. Rubio
2. Curry
3. Flynn
4. Holiday
5. Evans
6. Teague
7. Jennings
8. Maynor
9. Lawson
10. Mills
11. Collison
12. Calathes
13. Douglas

IMO, if Rubio is off the board, I hope we do not even consider Curry with the 4th overall pick. We are not mentioned as one of his suiters, but who really knows.

IMO- 1. Rubio, 2. Evans, 3. Holliday, 4. Jennings, 5. Flynn, 6. Curry, 7. Maynor, 8. Teague, 9.Lawson, 10. Mills, 11.Calathes (oversees), 12. Collison, and 13. Douglas.

i thought jennings and lawson would be higher and curry would be lower. Seeing flynne there doesn't surprise me but shows that he will not be even close to #23 so picking him or trading down would be our only option there. I keep hearing how much curry is impressing GMs and if he could play the point I might not mind him as much. What worries me with him though is how much he reminds me of douby.

I am ok whichever way Petrie goes but I agree Curry will be very successful in the NBA. Remember Mike Bibby and Steve Nash were just as skinny with similar game when they were drafted. Will he be a defensive stopper, never in his life, but if he has the ball in his hand last and he give you a chance to win.

We need more scoring and he is probably the best scoring pg so petrie might see that as a reason to draft him.

Curry will prove all the doubters wrong. I still think he ends up one of the five or so best players in this entire draft. There is some risk, but IMO it's very minimal.

Curry is still getting overrated as a PG prospect. As a SG no doubt, but.

Holiday is #2 for me behind Rubio.

Given how weak this draft class is, that's not saying a hell of a lot.

I'd MUCH rather have Curry than Jennings. With that said, I'd rather have Flynn, Evans or Holiday before Curry.

My preference is Holiday or Rubio...and I lean toward Holiday. Is Holiday "likely" to drop to 23? I doubt it very much.

Yeah, Holiday is a lottery pick now and could likely go top 10. Funny how a couple of good workouts have basically erased a nightmare season for him.

Making a major leap here but what if Petrie has Holiday as his #1...should he draft him at 4 or is there a better strategy?
I seek Holiday as the Kings #1 choice but wonder about taking him at #4...
In terms of Rubio, I find his elan to some extent media elevated though I defer to this board for further enlightenment. How GREAT will Rubio be in your estimations?
Holiday would be a strong and effective backcourt leader and partner of K-Mart for the Kings to catalyze the rebuilding and create opportunities for stellar play on offense and defense in coordination with the players that we have. He is amidextarous, parents as coaches/players, and ready to emerge as our "floor general". I am sold on Holiday...
and then with the other picks, get best player availables beyond the pg position

Douby's college stats 25/3, Curry's were 28/6. Curry is a pure PG, Douby was a SG. Douby was drafted by Petrie off the bench BJax SG role. Curry reminds me more of Bibby who put up 18/6 his soph year before being drafted from a much more talented Arizona team.

By the way we were able to trade for Mike Bibby because Vancouver thought the guy could not be a true PG and was more of a SG and traded JWill for him.

I am ok either way with a shooting or get to the basket PG as long as we have as we have a leader who can carry some weight in the clutch.

Perhaps this is abundantly absurd...

My hope for the Kings is to draft Holiday and to acquire Z Randolf...only if we can retain Martin, Garcia, Hawes, and Thompson.

Is this remotely possible?
Maybe throw in future picks?

If successful, we would be super strong looking forward in the front court and the backcourt (yes!) BUT the 3 position would remain a major need for positive contribution toward winning...
Keep Green at the 3! --how do we get Zach and Holiday?

I can understand this particular misconception, but the fact is, within one game from Stephen Curry you will see the passes that Douby will NEVER be able to make. Those are the very same passes what would make it possible for Douby to play PG. Curry can play PG.

I think those saying it's weak are either ignorant to college basketball or are GM's posturing to buy late picks on the cheap.

This draft is DEEP. I bet the Kings get a rotational player at worst at #31.

I think Curry will be a fantastic player. I would be very content if the Kings drafted him, but I understand how his skill set does mirror Kevin Martin's, with the addition of PG skills. The three PG's I am interested in are Rubio, Holiday, and Curry. Each one has a VERY different skill set, but I have no doubt that whoever drafts Curry will be very happy with him down the road. I think he is going to be similar to Mike Bibby, but likely a better shooter.
