Will Trevor Ariza have a huge series against his former team

I think Trevor will have a huge series against Orlando. When you a play a team that traded you away, your definately going to want to make sure they regret their decision for letting him go. Its going to be a fun series, great matchups!

Yes, but more because he's a winner than anything else. I'd like to see him show up on the road in this series. Same with Shannon Brown.

Oh yeah, Trevor is going to show up big time against his former team. He's been playing better and better in these playoffs, and now he gets to square up against a team that traded him away for basically garbage (Cook, Evans). Hell yeah... Trevor will be more than ready to be huge for the Lakers!!!

I thinki he will have a big series because Turk will be guarding him and Ariza should be able to blow by him on drives.

Of course. I would like Magic fans to boo him. That seems like he's the bad guy now. Yeah, I like that. :P

He should, because he's one of the few players on our team that plays hard every night. Also, his length will help against entry passes to Howard... and close outs on Lewis, Turkoglu, and Alston.

Ariza is also needed to increase our fast break opportunities, getting out on the break before Dwight Howard can get back to protect the paint.

In the halfcourt, his slashing style would help put foul pressure on Dwight Howard. His spot up three-point shooting (very remarkable, really), if he can keep it up, would stretch defenses.

The magic tend to guard Kobe straight up, and try to limit the role players, so Ariza's movement off the ball would be an excellent way to increase his opportunities.

Unfortunately, Ariza has mostly been a nonfactor in both losses to the Magic this year, but I hope that was due to having a lesser role at the time.

ariza has been great for us. He can shoot, drive to the basket as well as defend. I'm pretty sure he'll go all out every game but for the Magics i think he has something special in store for them. Possibly the return of the posterizing dunks we rarely see these days? hehe

Either way, his hustle plays will be much needed considering how well orlandos' shooting right now.

we all actually love trevor and his game. his development in my mind has been overlooked by a lot of people this season and it has been vital in the lakers success. i sure as hell won't boo him because in orlando we all knew that once he got that shot down he would be a very very good player
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

theres no revenge factor here. we definitely won that deal. we needed him more than the magic need cook and evans. secondly, hes a ucla grad and hes home. third, his play has taken off in the playoffs. so we dont need him to be spectacular, just play good hard defense and can a few shots.

Ariza has no handles, he wont be driving by anyone unless they're not looking (*glances at Nuggz defenders*). What he can do is shut down Hedo and take him off of his game. Fight throguh/over screens and make sure Hedo doesnt have any WIDE open 3s or easy passing lanes inside to DHo. CLE guards couldnt guard Hedo worth a lick due to being way too short. Ariza is long, quick, and lean so he can definitely stick on Hedo and make life harder. Also if Magic prolly wont be throwing too many over the top swing passes that they were getting away with against the Cavs. Again our defensive swings are long, quick, and lean (Ariza, Kobe) so they can pick off any lazy passes taking away an important weapon from their arsenal. The quick cross court open 3.

Another way Ariza may help the Lakers with a big series is by driving to the hoop and forcing Howard to make plays which may lead to foul trouble for Howard. Cleveland had only one true player who could drive to the hoop in Lebron. The Lakers have two in Kobe and Ariza. I guess you could throw Farmer in there but defintely two.

"I made a lot of friends there," Ariza said. "But now it's business."

Ariza's handles arent good enough to attack the bucket against determined defense. Also if DHo smacks the taste out of him there's a fair chance that there will be a no call, cuz DHo is a superstar DPOY and Ariza is justa role player. The only player that will get DHo into foul trouble is an aggressive Kobe Bryant who is the only player on our team that the refs will respect enough to blow the whistle against DHo (well i hope...). Maybe Gasol can draw a foul or two, but i rather doubt that. Refs know if they take DHo out of the game against us we're gonna obliterate the Magic...
