Karman or Camby for...

Post#1 » by CaribbRebel » Sun May 24, 2009 9:00 pm

What’s up in Clipper land? I am a Piston fan who doesn’t get to watch a lot of basketball so I don’t exactly know what the Clippers’ needs are. However, I do know that the Pistons are in need of a center and was just wondering what you guys might need or consider fair value from the Pistons in exchange for Karman or Camby. Because of his age I am not quite sure Dumars would want to take Camby, though I think Camby is indeed quite efficient at center.

Kaman for Prince, works under the salary cap.

Karman for Prince works under the salary cap rules but that leaves the Piston with a serious void at SF. Bare in mind that Prince is the only legitimate starting SF on the roster. I think Dumars does this only if he has something in the works to replace Prince.

Are there any good free agents at the 3 this summer? (Besides Grant Hill- because he certainly won't go back to Pistons with them re-building)

On a side note, you do realize that Kaman has no "r" in it, don't you? :)

Artest, Ariza, Marion, Childress, Odumb.

I really think our first shot at Kaman should be Hinrich. Hinrich is everything that Baron is not. He's willing to play D, hits is open shots, doesn't turn the ball over, and can play both guard positions. Getting Hinrich would give us a very nice 3 guard rotation.

We should try to sign one of the above with the MLE. Most years the MLE wouldn't be much for most of those guys, but this year the money will most likely be tight. With the economy and teams saving cap space for 2010 we could really strike gold with the MLE.

It has to be Tayshaun Prince or nothing. But I don't think the Pistons will be willing to do that.

It would be both easier and cheaper to find an available SF in free agency than trying to find a free agent C who can score in the low post.

I'd rather sign Ariza or Marion or another MLE.

Then trade Kaman for Hinrich.

Thou most of my Chicago Bulls fans don't really agree. How about Loul Deng, Kirk Hinrich for Chris Kaman and Marcus Camby ?

Sold. You guys get cap space and some big men and we get two guys that add depth to our weakest positions.

Al Thornton & Chris Kaman for Tayshaun Prince & Pistons #15 Pick, I'm sold.

It would give the Clippers the opportunity to snag Earl Clark who they were high on until they won the lottery. Still need to figure out how you dump Zach Randolph though.

If Kaman is traded, there isn't a real need to trade Z Bo. Trading Kaman would clear up some of the logjam upfront.

Its says Camby or Kaman trades here doesnt it.Seems not much interest in Camby. If I was the Clippers I would be looking to keep kaman and pair him up with Griffin.nice pair.My Question is what do you want for Camby? Well OKC are looking for a Center and have expirings to offer. How about Earl Watson and Damien Wilkens both expirings that clears part of the logjam with your bigs and gives you a back up PG and support at SG and SF .This allows Kaman to start and Deandre Jordan backup.next you move Randolph not so easy but you never know.

It still kills me to see Karman up there
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
