Deandre Jordan
What would you want from the knicks for Jordan. You guys have a clusterf%ck of big men and Jordan will be moved easiest. I personally love jordan and wanted the knicks to take him at 7 last year. Is their any feasible trade for jordan such as Nate for jordan and Davis. You need someone to spell Davis..and moving jordan allows more playing time for Blake Grififn? Any thoughts?

I highly doubt DJ will go anywhere. Everyone in the Clippers organization loves this guy and his potential.

Re: Deandre Jordan
I wouldn't move DJ for the same reasons that you and fans of others teams want him. Right now he's extremely raw, but the potential is clearly there. As far as our bigs go, Camby has this season left, Z-Bo has 2 seasons and Kaman has 3. We have the luxury of him playing/defending some quality bigs in practice while he continues to improve. In 2 years, he's only 23 and could be the primary reserve at the 4/5.

Re: Deandre Jordan
The point is that we're not moving Jordan right now. He still needs to develop and everyone loves this guy. I would hate to see him leave.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I'll give you Jordan if you take Randolph back!

Knicks don't have anyone worth trading DJ for, unless a three way trade for a hard nosed defender like tayshaun prince.

Re: Deandre Jordan
Now that you guys are getting Griffin, would you revisit a Jordan for Nate swap. You guys have 5 guys who will get minutes at the 4/5 spot (Camby, Kaman, Griffin, Randolph, Jordan). You guys have no depth in the backcourt and an injury prone PG about to hit the wrong side of 30. I'm sure Mr. Stearling will love the fact that Nate is one of the most marketable players in the league and amoung the leaders in jersey sales. That last sentence is probally what seals the deal for the Clips, although they are still getting a very solid 25 year old.

Re: Deandre Jordan
Jordan is going to be part of the youth movement and would probably be the least of the big men to be traded. And with the glimpses of potential we saw this last season, I think it's safe to say the Clippers are happy they got him and will continue to develop him. He's also a fan favorite.
Aside from that, I don't see how Nate would fit along side Gordon or Baron. In any case, I'd rather not. I like Nate Robinson but not in our half court set/half-assed uptempo system.

Only way I deal Jordan to NY is if Chandler and #8 are on the way back, at the least.

The thing is he wasn't a 1st round pick he's a 2nd round pick. He has a cheap contract and he is currently working hard to improve his game. He is also playing behind some veteran big men, so it's not like we're counting on him to be our starting center.
I would only agree with you scratch if he was our 1st round pick and if we would have contributed that amount of money to him, but he was our 2nd round pick so let's see what he brings next season.

Oh come on. He was doing well but an unlucky injury occurred. That doesn't count.
Everyone else, they lived up to their potential.

Re: Deandre Jordan
I'd trade DJ if you take him and one of our fat contracts like Baron or Zach.
If DJ gives 110% during practice and the offseason, he'll be a decent player in two or three years. He's never going to be a superstar. He just doesn't have the brains or the ability. I doubt he'll ever develop offensive post moves, he shoots poor free throws, and he tries to dunk even when he knows he is too far away from the basket to make it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we got him with a second round pick. Usually we draft trash guards with our second rounders. At least DJ has some upside, is a big body, and we don't have to pay him much.

^ D-Miles maybe?
I definitely see what scratch is saying. This franchise has put all of its hopes on "potential" that never pans out, and I'm sick of it too. That said, I wouldn't deal DJ just yet. I like the guy, and I'm hoping he realizes his potential WITH THE CLIPPERS specifically. That's a rare feat.
