And sure, he'll definitely add some strength. But "some" won't be nearly enough. Chris Bosh was seen as being too skinny as a rookie, and even now still really struggles defensively because of his body. As a rookie he was 33 lbs heavier than Daye. Daye can add some weight, but he tops out at what? 215, maybe?
I'll take Donte to do what Daye could do. His reach is shorter, but he makes up for that with better athleticism, he's much stronger, and he doesn't have an attitude problem. Not to mention that his presence just would make Daye repetitive.
