Butler is one of my faves so I'd bar up too hehe.

I think Wizards need a shooting guard back.
An offer like this..

SUNS trade: Stoudemire (16M) + Richardson (13M) + Tucker (LLE?)
WIZARDS trade: Butler (9M) + James (6M) + Blatche (3M) + Songalia (5M) + Young (2M) + No.5

SUNS 2009 seasons.
C: O'neal / Lopez
PF: Blatche / Songalia / Amundson
SF: Butler / Hill / Barnes
SG: Barbosa / Young / Tucker
PG: Nash / Dragic / James

No. 5 - Harden (SG) or Hill (PF)
No. 14 - Flynn (PG) or Jennings (PG) or Williams (SG) or Clark (SF)

OR

Package No.5 and No.14 for No.2 pick. Get Rubio!!!
If not then No.3 and get Thabeet??

The Suns have no intention of giving Stoudemire a contract extension of which he is eligible for this summer and they certainly don't want to let him walk after next season when he has the right to opt out of his current contract. So Stoudemire will be dealt and there will be some good deals on the table to give STAT a new address. The Celtics will show interest and could put together some enticing packages. But it is unlikely that Stoudemire will be wearing green next year.

Why are people so interested in Deng? Hill>Deng. Deng is an injury-riddled, chucking, slow SF who had one great fluke year. The best thing Deng does or really the only thing he does is throw up mid-range/long jumpers.

I think Stat's gone draft day...Suns will have multiple options and will see how it plays out as team's start thinking they can make a play for him

There is nothing out there for Amare... His value is crap. Everyone everywhere has beat him down. I hope he comes to his senses and signs a 4yr 68 with us. We can't trade him to ANYONE in the West Conf, thus he will make us sorry. If you can't get a deal with Washington, go with NJ. Yi, Anderson, the number 11 and fillers!!

lol, we're not doing that crappy NJ deal that was rumored to be offered midseason.

Whether his value is high or low, I think we're gonna move Shaq or Jrich or do nothing.

--- Oh Lord, let it be so. As we've all discussed more than several times, the great irony is that no matter
what the numbers say, Shaq really hurt this team. It looked like it might be doable under D'antoni, but under Porter Nash/Shaq/Amare was a disaster and the more Shaq started to score and become the focal point of the team, the less interested he was in adapting himself to it, fueling the break, being a defensive presence etc. The fact that we lost most fo those games didn't seem to suggest anything to him.
He sees himself as the big dog again and I doubt anyone is going to dissuade him from that, and we ain't winning that way.

Cleveland is likely a team he'd (Shaq) go to w/o turning into The Big Cancer. He'd have a definite chance at a ring, and, I think would help the Cavs.

But , we'd essentially be centerless.... unless Stat would agree to run 30+ mins there.

I see no reason why that would be a problem. Phnx could return back to the speedball game... ie Nash's forte. Still entertain offers for wishywashy Stat while he re-ups his value...and let Nash expire. We'd have to shore up our front line (hello Mullins...Blair... Wilcox? ... Brian Cook ? ) Or ... let The Big BagPacker open the door for Nash, Stat, and Hill to follow.

Thing is, other than a may be deal to NO, (which seems to be a home based rumor) is there any other out there for The Big Expiring ???

^I don't like the guy, but Varejao would fit the bill as a nice C for the Suns

Yeah, could use an extra flopper with Raja gone and all... Varejao wants outta CLE, and he'd fit perfectly next to Amare.

Shaq/JRich for Delonte West/Varejao/Ben Wallace/Pavlovic

Then cut Pavlo to save cash...

Varejao//Big Ben/RoLo
Amare/Big Ben/Amundson
Hill/Dudley/Barnes
Delonte/Barbs
Nash/Barbs/Dragic

^I'd be happy with that...though I'd start Barbosa over West, and have West helping Dragic run the second unit. I've had enough of watching Barbosa and Dragic trying to play point guard. they must use different dictionaries than the rest of us

I'd actually keep Pavlovic, I think he's underrated. He's no star but he's a big guard who can shoot and play some D

We cant play without a center now because we don't have Boris Diaw anymore for the mismatch.

And no to that pansy woman Varejao.

i find it next to impossible to believe some of you are calling yourselves Suns fans and being favor of Jamison and a pick for Stoudemire. Jamison is the one forward in the league that makes Stoudemire's defense look stellar and he rebounds equally bad and is older. The pick doesnt make the bile in my throat even remotely go down at the thought of watching Jamison get burned for 35 a night and scoring 31. I am one off season disater away from callign myself an ex suns fan and i have been one since 76. Hell i even remember connie hawkins a bit.

i agree that amare is probably gone - i hope like hell he isnt, but its clear to see that certain influential people in suns management dont see him as the future of this team the way i do

selling low is crazy though

3 months of amare in a run and gun system should boost his value enough to get more for him than we will draft day when there are questions about his health and value etc

Where have you been my friend! Bashing Amare has been the name of the game lately among Suns fans everywhere. They'd rather have Deng, Tyrus, Jamison, and the likes instead of Amare. :D

It's really more about Stoudemire's extension. Are you going to pay him the maximum? If not, do you just let him walk? These contract dilemmas are something every team goes through with most every player.

It's just that ours happens to be an allstar and our leading scorer, so things escalate.

We move Shaq, for the right pieces back... and we still remain competitive and playoff bound....

Get rid of Stat, for futures and expirings ala Wiz deal... the season is bagged. Might as well then send Nash, Shaq, and Hill on ward to their final resting grounds. Oh sure, we'd win our share, but the thought of making this The Big Audition's team just doesn't make sense.

I guess what I am saying, with Stat, we have the best chance to do our standard 'make playoffs and hope for the best' routine. I am hoping there can be a reasonable negotiation to resign him, but all indicators say Stat is looking forward to being a free agent , and all the glitz and glamour of teams bidding for his services.

Can one of you AmareMe lovers map out the best case scenario in dealing with him ??
