Karl-Billups ISSUE Trashed Nuggets in LAL series

Post#1 » by fullermd » Mon Jun 1, 2009 12:22 pm

Why is it that I am one of few people who seem to realize that there is a problem between KARL and BILLUPS, which underminded the series with the LAKERS. Billups was MIA in the last two games and it was obvious to me during pre-game ritual of hugging and shaking hands with players and coaches and Billups passed up Karl, and during post-game when Karl urged the media not to write anything negative about the players (mentioning by name--every major player except Billups), that there is a serious issue. Billups did not play up to his potential. I think if he would have, we would have seen a game 7. The is a problem that no one is talking about between KARL and BILLUPS.

I don't think there is a problem there.. but heck, if you can somehow create one, go for it. I think the FO would pick Billups over Karl.

I honestly wonder if Chauncey rolling his ankle at the end of game 4 was more serious than advertised. He wasn't anywhere near as aggressive after that.

I agree! Billups, the consumate pro, tanked the WCF because of animosity with GK! It is all so clear now! What better way to get your coach fired than to tank the WCF!

I mean since the season is an obvious failure, what with Denver failing to reach the NBA Finals for the first time in what seems like forever, losing in the WCF is certain to get him canned- only traditionally garbage teams that only make it this far every 25 years or so would consider this season a resounding success. Yes! He threw the WCF cause he has issues with George!

In fact, if you look at Chauncey Billups's name, re-arrange the letters, add a few letters, subtract a few more- it spells----- I hate George Karl!

You did it! You solved the reason why we lost! Couldnt have been the complete collapse at the end of games, Melo not making shots, JR being non-existant, and the total inability to slow- let alone stop- Kobe Bryant from doing whatever he wanted, no... Chauncey threw them cause he pissed at the coach!

If i need to use green font, you wear a helmet and arent allowed to use silverware.

LMAO....this is absurd. Billups has praised Karl more than any other player on the Nuggets and Karl has said Billups and Macmillan have been his favorite players to coach. Try again.

I know this seems a little bit of a stretch but if Jordan has some issues with the prospective new majority owner of the Bobcats and they let him go, Larry Brown is on record now saying he'd be uncomfortable in situation without MJ.

So Brown may be free by the end of next season and maybe management can just flat out fire Karl, and bring in Brown a coach Billups loved when they were in Motown. After all Brown was the very first coach of the Nuggets while they were in the ABA.

**** Larry Brown, people think Karl has had issues with some of our players, Brown would be like placing dynamite in the locker room, with a short fuse and a suicide bomber holding matches. Not a good idea one bit.

You know what Rebel I forgot he dogged Melo in the 04 Olympics too. Quite sure Melo hasn't forgotten that. And Melo would be the main one he'd have to win over.............you're right it ain't happen'in.

I lost what little respect had for Brown with the way he treated Melo (who was the teams best player leading up to the Olympics that year, only to be benched right before the Olympics for no apparent reason, and then blamed when the team lost), and then the way he slithered out of Detroit and destroyed New York. Overall though Melo and Brown would not be the only problem in the Locker room. A coach that is a total control freak will never make it with this team that is full of huge talent and bigger egos.

You can thank Brown and AI for the bronze. No way I want either in Denver unless they are just in town to get creamed for a game.

Nuggets were the better team in the 1st four games. They let the Refs get in their heads in game 5, then seemingly gave up on the series after that. Was really sad.

Tmac and Yao usually stop themselves. Healthy or injured, learn it, live it, love it.

TMac has already stopped himself for at least half of next season, and is on the block to be traded according to about a gazillion rumors. Healthy or injured, learn it, live it, love it.

a healthy tmac and yao, w/ this years rockets or last years, would win at least 1 ring.

im not saying he'll get healthy, i gave up on thta. im saying IF, IF they can stay healthy. IF THEY CAN STAY HEATLHY.

you cant stop a heatlhy yao and tmac, with good pieces around them. i dont have to explain that

but also, tmac hasnt played 10 strait games healthy since the 04/05 season. so that kinda sucks.

learn it, live it, and stfu.

Actually, the 1st round can stop a healthy T-mac. History proves that.

History is also starting to prove that Yao can't stay healthy for the long haul either.

its 120% proven that tmac and yao cant stay healthy, so you shouldnt build around them, you should either...

trade one of them

add another all star caliber player to the team, or a high scoring guy, along w/ ron artest.

other than that, learn it, live it, and stfu

Return to Denver Nuggets
