Portland picks up the options on Oden and Fernadez. We would also like to cut Devin Brown and Shelden Williams.

NOH Accepts. Trading Parker was a HUGE decision for us, but three primary considerations prompted the move.
1. Brandon Roy - he's an excellent player off the ball, having improved his shooting a great deal in 2009, but he's even better with the ball in his hands. Tony Parker is also a great player with the ball in his hands and has a good mid-range jumper, but we felt that he was too dependent on being the engine behind a team to mesh with Roy long term. Also, Parker will turn 29 years old and be looking for an extension after the final season of his contract in 2010/11. We are much more comfortable building around Roy, who will be 25 in 2010 and ready to enter his prime.
2. Mario Chalmers - Chalmers was a terrific fit next to Dwyane Wade in his 2009 rookie season, shooting well, finishing third in the league in steals, and registering 4.9 APG on his way the All-Rookie 2nd Team. He was the second best rookie PG behind Derrick Rose. His contract is also a bargain, he will be a great fit next to Roy, and he will build off of his 2009 success in 2010. We are also ecstatic to bring Eric Maynor in who we believe can also be a tremendous compliment to Roy as at G.
3. Money/2010 Free Agency - This move sets us up to be a major player in the 2010 free agent market even after extending Brandon Roy. The Hornets expect to be a desirable destination for the biggest names who will be looking to play on a young championship contender. A young core of Roy, Love, Chalmers, and Deng, who will all be 25 or younger, along with West and Przybilla anchoring the front will be an enticing scenario for any free agent.
We're also of the opinion that Corey Brewer has been overlooked due to injury this past year. We still love his potential as a lock down defender at the three with an improving shot. The 2010 pick doesn't hurt either.

Raptors agree. Telfair is a nice young PG that was much needed for this squad. I had excess wing players so Delfino was expendable.

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
The Sixers and Hornets have agreed to a trade:
Leandro Barbosa
Rashad McCants
2013 2nd Round Pick
for
Luol Deng
Gerald Green
Hornets Accept. Deng is a very young and talented player, but we are happy to bring Barbosa on board to compliment Roy, Chalmers, and Maynor in a nice backcourt rotation. We also believe in Corey Brewer's potential to be a very nice SF in this league, even though many people have forgotten about him after his injury last season. Moving Deng gives Brewer an opportunity to start and opens up time for Jarvis Hayes, another player who we like and feel is pretty overlooked. This deal is also heavily financially motivated. We simply couldn't justify paying Deng 11+m next year and 14+ in 2013. We are now in a position to have at least 10+m and likely more for 2010 free agency. With this market and FA class, we felt that we could get a better player for less in the FA market.

Accepted.
Philly feels that Deng is a better player than Barbosa, and tha Green is somewhat of a better player than McCants. We win both of the deals. Iverson goes back to being 6th man again, were we feel he would be better played there at this stage of his career. Good Dealing.

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
Detroit/Washington have come to an agreement:
Trade 1:
Jason Maxiell $5,000,000
for
Kurt Thomas $3,800,000
Bobby Jackson $825,497
Salaries are about $300K off, obviously works.
Washington then waives Jackson, and he returns to Detroit because he is a minimum contract.
Trade 2:
Kurt Thomas
for
TE (Corey Maggette Trade)
Wizards accept. We don't really want Maxiell's contract, despite him being a very solid player. With no offers any better than this, we had to take it, and it helps me solidify the rotation.

Trade not allowed since a player gets trade twice in the same trade. Awhile back there were a few complaints about this happening and I had decided that players moving back and forth like this would not be allowed.

The Toronto Raptors and New Orleans Hornets have agreed to a trade:
Leandro Barbosa
for
Tony Battie
2010 2nd
NOH Agrees. It's tough to part with a guard like Barbosa, but this move fits with our long term goals.

I lose Battie's expiring and his toughness/big man depth but I think Barbosa is a perfect fit here as a 6th man.

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
Orlando and Golden State have reached an agreement
Delonte West/Brian Cardinal/Philly 2011 2nd for Kelenna Azubuike/Andres Nocioni
$4,254,250 + $6,750,000 = $11,004,250
$3,100,000 + $7,500,000 = $10,600,000
math works
Orlando does this to get another great 3 point shooter to spread the floor for Dwight. I take on Nocioni's contract(which will be shopped for an expiring) to get the deal done.

I accept. I like Delonte's defense and role playerness, I think that him and TP next to each other will be a tough cover. The selling point is dumping Nocioni's terrible contract which was interfering with my 2011 cap space plans.
EDIT: The Warriors waive SF Dominic James whose deal was unguaranteed past this season.

Trade to announce with SAN.
Marcus Thornton $800,000
2011 ORL 1st
2010 ORL 2nd
for
Ty Lawson $1, 859160
We are very excited, Lawson gives our team youth and he will be part of our team for years to come. Calderon and Miller now very available.

With Jarret Jack recently being signed to a 5yr/10 million dollar extension and having the contracts of Lou Williams and Baron Davis, this was a move that we were able to make.

Trade approved, there was a veto request but New Orleans seems to want to cut lots of salary for next year; and Deng could be considered overpaid thus I'm going to let it go through.

Trade NOT approved since it doesn't match up salary-wise. Thorton acutally makes 989,040 x 1.25 = 1,236,300<1,859,160 (so it does not work)
