Bobcats War Room - Pick 21 - 2009

Post#1 » by August Us Seazr » Fri Jun 5, 2009 11:35 pm

Guys, we have done something of note here. All season long this year, and last year too, one College Player of the Year- 2008 has been dissed and dissed and dissed some more. Well, some folks appreciate him. A resolute group has voted him in as our 20th member of the Big Board drafting list. Now, while 20th is no great thing, it is much higher than he has run in the mocks during this period. As of the current time my SuperMock spreadsheet has him going 25th. So we give him a +5. Maybe he will go earlier than the pundits would have us believe. I hope so. He has earned my respect! And, he will probably have a few people scratching their heads in a few years with the "How did I misjudge him so badly?" question on their minds.

Who will be the 21st player chosen? In a little bit, you will tell us. But it gets harder here, because some of these guys could very well go "twenties" "thirties" or even in the "forties" come draft night.
Caution is urged. Check out these guys before you vote... giving consideration to the player's strengths, skills and temperament, the team's "holes", and whether that player gives us something extra. I believe you'll be glad you did!

Now, get out there and research...then vote! I thank you for your participation :D :D :D

I vote for Chase, but it looks like BJ Mullens will finally win. Why is he free falling?

As soon as Budinger and Mullens are off the board, I'm with you.

We have our first tie. And a very unusual one at that!

Now normally, I fret over ties. But this one I'm happy with and amused at. I'll leave no question about it, I'm not a big fan of Mullens, who tied with (insert player's name here). When someone is not quality enough to be first option at a position on your team at Ohio State, how am I supposed to believe that he will pan out in the pros? We already have Sean McWhopper occupying a roster spot! We need people that can play. At this point, if Hamilton wants a shot, I say he gets it. But there is one little technicality, here. Nobody provided a name of who Insert a Name is. Therefore, I have to declare this spot for Mullens.

Note to Self- See, you DIDN'T have to vote for Mullens because he was BPA or BVA! Whew!

On to pick # 22.

^2 of the "name of player" votes were for Sam Young, the third was Hamilton's vote. Mullens still won out, just sayin..
